Make sure you eat before you go, so your food will be digested. If you don't you will puke when you see Steinem!

Who cares about this has-been.

Gender and race in politics? Well, we've taken care of the gender part. Libs wanted a woman, they got a woman-a REAL woman. Race? Nah, boring and quite irrelevant. Stick to the issues like Obama said. Why is this relic of a gray ghost even allowed into Hofstra? John will win. You heard me.

She was necessary during the height of women's lib in the '60s and '70s.

But just like Jesse Jackson, she is a relic of the past and a poor example for this generation.

"A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle?"

Well, thre are plenty of women who want a man and plenty others who are not subject to her detremental peer pressure...made to think they are less of a person because they choose to stay at home and raise healthy, decent kids.(No small task!)

Her own life choices made her miss out on many personal tribulations that women go through and thus she has very little to say today.

Hofstra could have picked a more modern and relevant feminist.

Steinem is a Communist political operative.. Do not expect any common sense from her, just a social rant against republicans.

i beg to differ. she was sooo unnecessary. my 90yr. old mother was always liberated. thought that one (steinam) was dead. she must be 110yrs. old.

when will Hofstra invite a Conservative to balance out the socialist extremism of Steinem?

Hofstra does accept public taxpayer dollars and therefore cannot be biased toward one political party.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
