I loved this movie. It didn`t try to be too flashy and spectacular. it`s good, old-fashioned, dark, creepy and gritty X-Files with a big dash of Mulder and Scully interaction. In my opinion, it sets the table beautifully for another film.

"sets the table for another film" You've got to be kidding, right? Maybe if they made this 100 minute movie into a 45 minute episode it MIGHT rank 125th out of 126 episodes. Come on guys really? Don't be so happy to get an X-Files movie that you lap up any piecce of crap they toss at you. Admitt it...it was a lame movie. It's okay. Be honest with yourself. Go back and watch the top 10 episodes, okay top 100 episodes, and see where you would place this one. If this doesn't go to the back burner then all hope is lost.

The movie wasn't bad. I am sure you will see the movie once in your lifetime, so see it now already. You will not be disappointed. In fact you will be confused as to why it was panned. I's a subtle X-file sortakinda movie. On other levels, there is so much snow in the movie that perhaps the idea is to provoke the idea that global warming is a hoax. And there is much debate as to why classix x-files theme music can only be heard when we see a picture of George Bush

Go see it.

It's Classics. And classics is immortal. It will never go out of fashion, and will be appreciated and understood in all times and epoques, IMHO.

"Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault.

Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty."

I just saw it and I really liked it. I`m a little surprised that the critics didn`t see what the fans are seeing; a complex, emotional, creepy, X-File movie with no clear answers.
Then again, the critics are far too busy viewing super-hero movies with lots of CGI and special effects. Good for them.

Many critics say that TXF:IWTB "leaves more ?? than answers", that "it wasn't understood", and other stuff...

Have some more quotes that reflect what I think about "all this":
1)"Art does not solve problems but makes us aware of their existence. It opens our eyes to see and our brain to imagine." (Magdalena Abakanowicz);
2)"It always takes awfully long time to understand unbelievably simple things." (Joe Chung);
3)"To be great is to be misunderstood." (Ralph Waldo Emerson;
4)"Art is the struggle to understand." (Audrey Foris);
5)Art is... a question mark in the minds of those who want to know what's happening.~Aaron Howard;
6)"Art hath an enemy called ignorance." (Ben Jonson);

"Every great work of art has two faces, one toward its own time and one toward the future, toward eternity." (Daniel Barenboim)

Someday we will unerstand...
