This is the first time I bought tickets to a BOK event and I am very disappointed. First of all there are companies that get to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public so most good seats are gone. I started at 10 to try and get in and 3 times i got as far as securing the seats only to be bumped out and put back in waiting room and i need 3 together 5 mins after 10 it gave me the message that i could not get 3 together at any price level so I think this will be my last BOK experience. I did manage to get 3 single tickets and it was about 11:30 so I dont see how they sold out in an hour?
Those companies that get pre-sale, 1. do not get the "good seats" (they don't get to pick their seats.) and 2. they are not guaranteed! So get over it.

Thank you Sarah. I really had hopes of saving enough to make it, but my husband is out of work. Then I thought I would try to win tickets, but I live in Eastern OK and can't listen to the radio at work, so I guess that is out too. I was feeling kind of down about it yesterday knowing that it was the big day for sales, but then got to share my story here, and knowing you will think of him while there, makes it all okay in my world.
Thanks for doing this for me, it is a true blessing.:o)
I know that someday, someway, I will get to see her. I wish I had a way to tell her how much she means. Just glad I got to tell you.

Oh, for cryin' out loud. If you are at poverty level, you clearly didn't contribute much in sales tax money. You can't go looking for a handout from the BOK Center simply because you cannot afford the events. Plenty of people are able to afford the prices. The artist and promoters have found their target market that can afford these event. Don't place blame on the rest of the world if you are not in this target market. If you have made choices that have put you in a lower income bracket, make some changes in your life! Don't blame the world around you for finding success if you haven't found it yourself. There have been several open house events free to the public at the BOK Center.
Now if this isn't a classic case of profiling, I don't know what is. "If you aren't rich,....tough!! Sit at home and listen to your CD's, while the rest of us enjoy or money." I haven't seen where the BOK center has offered free admission to the superstar concerts.

There should be a way for normal families, who dont or CANT go sit in the cold on the concrete in the dark to have an opportunity to purchase good seats to any event at the BOK. It's not about the price, most will pay the price for a great evening out, it is the availability.
There should be limitations on how many tickets can be sold to one driver's license or SS# or SOMETHING that stops scalpers or people buying for resale.

How rude can you be to a vetern that fought for YOUR freedom to be a jack ****?!! I agree the prices are very expensive! I love the BOK and have been to several great shows, but, everytime I always think of those that want to go but can't afford to!! There does need to be affordable shows especially for families!!
Perhaps you'd like to take him to the show and pay for his ticket then, jack A+S+S. I'm a veteran too, but I'm not crying about my tax money paying for a venue that has done well for Tulsa.

I wanted tickets to this SO bad. My father LOVED Reba. As he lay dying in ICU late one night, early morning, at 2 am or so, I had the channel turned to CMT. Reba came on and I said, Hey Dad, there's your woman. His nurse, Big Bill said nah, that's MY woman. I said she's been Dads for years hasn't she Daddy? He nodded his head yes. It was the last movement he made before he died a few days later. I think of him everytime I hear her. I wanted so bad to be able to share this with him, even if only in my heart. She is such a classy lady, always so kind to people. He always said he knew how to pick his women, he had Moma and Reba. To be in that audiance and hear her sing songs in person, he would be there with me, one more time. Wish the money would have been there for me to at least try. All of you who were lucky enough to get tickets.... enjoy, and if you read this, send up a little smile to my Daddy please.
That made me cry!
