George has had a lot of sorrows in his life but he does not let them get him down. HE is a VERY SPECIAL MAN!

It would be the thrill of a life time to meet him and I hope to oneday attend one of his concerts again - after 20 years of not!:(

To Colton, who claimed that his dad was once owner of the vehicle and Iwasthere, you should have never give any identification of who drove the car. A lot of her dad's fans are over impulsive and overprotective. For example, if an inspiring comic parody singer sings a parody George Strait song, many of his fans would respond, "Ewwww! How dare you make fun of the King of Country. I'm going to hunt you down and kick your butt!" George might probably laugh at the song and enjoy it. Another would be if he was to give a concert in Oklahoma. Someone wears a OKC Thunder shirt there. Some fans might go up to him and her and threaten that person to leave because George is a Spurs fan. Therefore, they are convinced that George is emotionally tramatized because he is seeing a shirt of the team that denied his Spurs the Championship this year. In reality, George knows he is in Thunder territory, so he would expect Thunder fans there. This brings me to the driver. As for the type of people I mentioned above. What do you think would happen to the driver is some of George's fans found out who he is? I used to be a part of a George Strait message board and I know how some of his fans are. I'm not stereotyping his fans as all being stupid.

Gary from Wittier, TX. The article posted in 1986, that can still be easily found on the internet, gives the driver's name. So there is no need to scold Colton for giving out his identification.

I live on Hunter Rd, it is a long road and yes can be dangerous. It gets pitch dark at night and many accidents do happen. The area that she passed away at is near a subdivision where the road does curve.

The driver was 18 and the other 2 boys were 16 & 17. I can't imagine what a 13 year old girl was doing out with these boys at 11:55pm when the accident happened. So sad.

Just wondering....I didn't hear anything about that happening until recently.

The boy was 17, George actually punched a Houston channel 5 reporter when asked (and i think it really was a slip more of a question to himself) why he allowed his 13 year old daughter to ride around with a 17 yr old boy that time of the night.

I've always been a fan of the music but am not one to learn about their lives. I was at his concert on Friday when he announced that he had become a grandfather. I only then because curious about his life and found out about his daughter. I was too young when this happened to learn of it at the time. I did a search and found an article, it lists all the names and about the event. Three others in the car, all males, ages 16, 17 and 18. No alcohol involved and it states she was partially ejected. I tired finding a website for the foundation but have only found sites that mention it. If someone has a link for the foundation, please post it.
He didn't have any children that were of age to make him a grandfather.

In February 2012, Strait became a grandfather, as his son George Strait Jr. and his wife Tamara had their first child, a son. According to reports, the infant was named George H. Strait III as a tribute to his famous grandfather.

My condolences to the whole family. I spent New Year's Eve 2012/13 watching the 2009 country music award of the 2000 decade go to George. Watched my young son imitate George asking everyone to come up and sing with him. My wife asked how old George was and I said 60 and she said he is old enough to be my dad ( I'm 39). Further research showed he had a daughter born just months before me. Then I found out about her death it was like a punch in the gut. Thinking about the pain of losing a child. And knowing I was in several speeding cars at that age with my friends. There are no answers besides she was a called upon Angel of God. God Bless the Straits and give them Peace from this, and God Bless all of you that we're involved, affected, especially the driver may God ease your pain and bless you always.

He was a high school student and she was about to enter high school the next year. We were all hanging out at a friend's house that evening.@Wes -- William was driving. He felt so bad, but we were all being careless. We were young and didn't realize we were exempt from extreme accidents. Just living life with no bounds and having fun. That day changed all our lives.

It was just that an accident. George was home and came to the scene.

She was an angel that was taken too early.

May the Strait family know that we were blessed to have Jennifer in our lives. She is our guardian angel.

To those who speculate and post lies ... shame on you ... there are some of us who still live with this loss -- especially the straight family.

I'm sorry...but I can find NO evidence whatsoever that Randy Owens' daughter was killed in any sort of accident. People REALLY need to fact-check before they post things, especially when it concerns the death of someone.
