McRae Man to Release Album

By Becky Holland Rusty Williams is your typical south Georgia boy - he grew up on a 200 acre cattle farm right out of McRae, and graduated from Wheeler County High School.

Rusty Williams grew up on a 200 acre farm just outside the small town of McRae, Georgia. He grew up like any country boy in south Georgia would. Hunting, fishing,spending time on the Ocmulgee River, bogging trucks and four wheelers, and riding horses were all a frequent for him his entire growing up life. Rusty became interested in music at a young age listening to bands his parents turned him on to like The Eagles, CCR, Bob Seger, and Otis Redding to name a few. He was also turned on too country greats like Conway Twitty, George Jones and Kieth Whitley. Also later artists such as George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, and Tim McGraw. You can hear a piece of all of these artists in Rustys work.

Rusty is currently working on his first solo album that he plans to release before the holiday season of the year 2012. Keep checking in to hear sneak peeks from the album along with new videos.

Yes he went to wheeler but he lives in mcrae. His mom is nita vickers who has the beauty shop. They live on jackie ryals dirtroad like going towards jacksonville. Rex williams is his brother an so is bobby landmesser. Check out his music page on fb.

I have listen to his cd. VERY GOOD. I already purchased it, and put it on my i pod, Its really good. Damn. something good is actually gonna come out of telair county. Saw him in concert also. he is just a down to earth type of person. Real nice guy.

would put him against any professional male singer out there. He is ready for the Grand 'ole Oprey.
