The thing to remember is that the music they created AT THAT TIME was ground breaking. Plus it has survived the test of time and is still popular today. Paul needed John but John needed Paul too. At least in the beginning. And the Beatles needed George Martin.

Sorry but I don't like any of those songs. Best rock song ever written - G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria...

Paul McCartney: Back in the USSR; Get Back; Helter Skelter; Live and Let Die; not that sappy at least early on.

Thanks for this great article on the Paul McCartney concert. I was at the concert and it was beyond expectation - simply wonderful. And in support of the great cause to bring Transcendental Meditation to "at-risk" children schools. I have been doing TM for many years and know first-hand of its great effect in reducing stress. Well done David Lynch, and thanks to all involved.

I agree!of course the Beatles revolution is a fact not an opinion!!
if some people above think that the Beatles have just some good songs,they have to review and to learn what the difference between good songs and masterpieces.
Are Rubber soul ,Revolver,SGT Peppers, the white album and the magnificent Abbey Road just a few good songs??!!
Well i don't think once again that more than 1 billion people who have bought their records are all morons!!
Right on Zepforever you know what you are talking about.

Without John Lennon, McCartney just wrote a bunch of silly dumb love songs indeed. The tunes weren't even the same kind of harmonies as he had with John Lennon. Without Lennon, McCartney's songs just became kind of wimpy. But together their songs were fresh and the harmonies were great -- the old songs Please, Please Me; Tell Me Why; No Reply.....
<quoted text>
True the songs were not as good as the early Lennon and mccartney tuines but give him credit for the good ones like 1985 or Maybe I'm amazed or The ones that weren't sappy love silly love songs.Junior's farm or his mega hits Like listen to what the man said. not all silly love songs.But him and Lennon were great together.

Uh, all that meditation and mahareeshi yogi stuff ruined the Beatles in my opinion.

What ruined the Beatles was the death of their manager Brian not yogi or meditation.

Oh, now I get it! You're jealous of these great, senior citizen rockers because they can (still) get all the babes while you, of course, can't.
Would you like some extra cookies at snack in kindergarten class today?

Benefit to promote meditation? These guys are indeed senile. Since Mac and Starr are senior citizens who haven't made music worth listening to in about 22 years, a benefit to promote the horrors of human inertia or erectile dysfunction seem more appropriate.
Yea a concert for limp dick would be great Invite Woody Allen so at least one woody will be there. lol
