There are 20 comments on the StarTribune story from May 18, 2009, titled Beatlemania comes to Britain's Chelsea Flower Show with George Harrison-themed garden. In it, StarTribune reports that:

Beatlemania erupted at London's Chelsea Flower Show on Monday as Ringo Starr rolled up in a gaudily painted Mini to join George Harrison's widow for the opening of a garden inspired by the "quiet Beatle." Photographers swarmed around as Starr drove up in the Mini decorated with symbols of the Hindu faith that Harrison embraced.

George loved the Chelsea Flower Show,he went with Ringo,Barbara and Olivia every year to see it, George would have been very honored by this tribute to him.
This is the year to pay tribute to George,he gets his star on the Hollywood walk of fame,a career cd,a Mini car named after him and now this, which I'm sure of the four, the flower exhibit was make him most happy, especially since he loved his garden with a passion.
Elton John wrote Empty garden for John Lennon, but it could also be for George too, since he loved nature.

George loved so many things that make him more than a quiet Beatle or person someone really special.I think you said almost all what I was thinking about the Chelsea Flower Show paying tribute to George AWC.It's has been until now a great year for the Beatles...It's nice to know Ringo,Barbara and Olivia were together....About Empty garden agree with you...it could also be for George....

That is so cool of Ringo to attend with Olivia.Ringo is such a classy guy.George would of loved this honor.I'm sure Dhani is very proud of his Dad's legacy and being a part of his music and circle of friends.

When I say "many things" you know what I meant AWC not from this world, no materials, his most importants gifts God gave to him was his heart and soul, to be a humble person and to share his own love message with everyone using the music...I'd like to add he left us Dhani when I see him it's like George Harrison never left us...yeah he is missed a lot !!!

Your nice video made me think about how deep George really was about his garden.
He found true peace among his plants and trees.

I used to spend some hours in my garden taking care of it I had many differents colors of roses and I remember I have never feel more near from God than in the garden it seemed empty but I was so delighful I never felt alone....maybe George felt something alike specially when he knew he was going to die...maybe......AWC !

I beleive you are right, too bad he died in L.A., instead of his home in England, but Paul owned the house in which George died.

You see AWC ...I'm glad he was at Paul's house but....all his work ,his house ,his garden even the money couldn't save him and he died so far away from what he built so everyday I learn more and enjoy my life ....tiny, gorgeous moments...even a litlle bird singing.....

It is good that you don't take that kind of stuff for granted. You enjoy the simple beauty and the natural things in life.I like to watch birds or other animals move around and build nest or just watch animals play together.Crows are so smart even if they make annoying noises.A buddy of mine watched a crow pick up a yogurt lid and put it over the hole in a storm drain pipe so he could wash or bath in the storm drain after the rain .The crow is a clever bird. Not many birds would think like that.

Birds are very smart you're right...It really breaks my heart when they made their nests they feed its little ones and when those begin to learn how to fly they fall down and my dog eat or hurt them.Sometimes I can take them back to their nests....When the mothers comes back and they are not there they so upset look for them for hours and it is really sad....I have blue birds in the mangos trees, beautiful they are.....

Blackbird, Bluebird....I understand why there so many beautiful songs about "Birds"

Have everybody a nice tuesday!!!!!

That is one of my most favorite songs from the concert for George.Clapton gets emotional and it's great to see him and Dhani and Paul all playing together.I never get tired of that concert. All the love and good friends remembering a great soul and a great Man George should of been made a sir or knight like like Sir Paul and Sir Elton John.
