This list was released through Amazon, but..........

UPDATE: A spokesman for Capitol/EMI told us this is not the final track list and said the final version will be released "soon."

Several tracks are missing, like "You" for instance or "Not Guilty." I agree with you, though.

I can't wait for this collection! It is long overdue. I wish that the live tracks were instead the Beatles versions as it was done on the old George Harrison Greatest Hits. I liked the mix of beatles and solo work. It gave a better pictue of his career.

As far as the mix of Beatles and solo, I would prefer a straight solo collection, but as far as his life collection, I would like to see Beatle's and Wilbury studio songs instead of live versions.

I truly hope that the song list from Amazon is going to be updated, since Capitol has said that the song list is not final,it's possible Amazon was given incorrect info.

Crackerbox palace and Dark Horse do belong on this collection, but if they don't get included,I still own the "Best of George Harrison" and the "Best of Dark Horse" cd's.

But it's great to see a new release, looking forward to the new Scorsese George bio-movie and a possible soundtrack album.

Back in the day,it was called Dark Hoarse, but I like the song, it has a good feeling about it.
I hope Capitol adds it.

Thanks Melba,
I remember back in 1976 when it aired, a very special night indeed, I beleive George's promo videos for Crackerbox palace and This song were world premiered.
That's when Saturday night live was a great show, John Belushi,Gilda Radner,Dan Akroyd,Lorraine Newman,Garret Morris,Steve Martin,Bill Murray and Chevy Chase.
The not ready for prime time players.

Yes! He definitely sounded very hoarse on that track. It works for the song though. You're right, it does have a good feeling about it.

His hoarseness adds to the song, It's a wonder that Capitol even released it,but I'm glad they did.
The album isn't on the level of Material world, but I have always liked the album.
I think that this song list was put out just to see the fan's reactions, and on every site I visit,it seems Dark Horse and Crackerbox palace are talked about.
To leave off these two songs is the same as leaving Photograph off a Ringo hits cd, just my opinion.

Where is This Song, Dark Horse, You, Crackerbox Palace, Handle Me With Care, And last but certainly not least Lead A horse To Water ????? I for one don't get IT. Who is the Genius Record Exec.who choose this track list ????? I will be making my own 2-disc Greatest Hits !!!!!!!!!!

The Bangla Desh single is the glaring omission for me. They could have made it a bonus track with the Material World reissue but only included the B side (Deep Blue). I thought then they must be saving it for a Greatest Hits collection but no!
Two of my all time George favourites are not included (So Sad from Dark Horse & Your Love is Forever from George Harrison - both with exquisite guitar work) but as neither were singles, I suppose that's OK.

I truly hope that Capitol and Olivia planted this list just for a test.

The demand for Dark Horse and Crackerbox palace is very evident, plus Bangladesh,You and This song.

The Beatles have the Red album (1962-1966),and the Blue album (1967-1970, though another collection featuring Free as a bird and Real Love would be nice.

John Lennon has the Lennon Legend album.

Ringo Starr has the Photograph:the best of Ringo Starr album.

Paul Mccartney has yet to get a career best of, but until then he has Wingsspan and All the best.

George Harrison deserves a decent career album too, and this song list just doesn't cut it in this form, hopefully it will be corrected.
