House built with 3,000 old tires

GENE AUTRY , Okla. -- Kathy Dixon was browsing a bookstore in Alabama when she spotted a book about how to build a house with old tires.

I've seen one on TV. I think the tires are packed with dirt and part of the house is underground. The walls are covered up so you don't see any tires.
Must be quiet inside, I wouldn't mind one here to block out the noise from my neighbors.

It says the walls are 3 ft. thick with 18 in. of insulation in the ceilings.
Sounds pretty nice to me as long as it's dry and looks somewhat normal inside.
