What happened to Amy representing Lake O Lakes?
It's still my favorite butter. Now she is handing out Country Crocks.

I'm cleaning out closets and donating as much as I can to charity and throwing the rest away.

Hoarding is a mental illness as surely as depression is. Maybe if I can streamline, it will help my mental state.

I'm talking about the Love Boat.
Exciting and brand new!

Okay, it's late. I need some sleep. I've been fasting and praying too much.
Gary, do you believe fasting helps one pray better?

Morning Phine...you like?

You crack me up, which is a great way to start the day! I bet there is a great book in all your thoughts, if you first took the time to outline it. You would then have to follow through on a continuant plot, and not veer off track. Can you do it Phine?

I'm in a race with Winter again. Half my house is open to the studs! Better get away from this strange machine...

Hope all is well!

And oh, the new Myspace music player needs to be updated quite often Gary. I guess I'm wearing it out too quickly.

No question fasting helps.
The forced focus away from common sustenance has an amazing affect on your ability to believe God is actually hearing you.

What's the longest you have ever fasted? Longest you have even kneeled in one position and prayed? Do you ever put pictures out to help you focus?

Oh, and Still...I have inattentive attention deficit, so to collect my thoughts...I'd need a butterfly net or perhaps a straight jacket to get me to sit still long enough for them to settle.

Okay, folks. I went to the store and got whole chickens, some sausage to grill, ground meat and some other kind of meat plus a "Ya'll Come Eat" cookbook. I have gotten somewhat addicted to grilling. Dang it...I forgot bbq sauce.

The weather started getting rough
The tiny ship was tossed
If not for the courage of the crew
the Minnow would be lost.

Gary, have you ever seen that skit about Sister O'Dell? It has a few curse words in it but none I've not heard before.

Have you ever seen "Madea" when asked about prayer and Madea says if God sees her "number" on his caller ID, he'll be like oh no I'm not picking that one up.

I have a new prayer candle. Three layers, smells wonderful, and that helps me to focus along with my prayer angels. I want to have my own altar at home. Church chapels are great but lots of interruptions.

Where is your favorite place to pray?

Ingredients
1 pint plain tomato sauce
1 cup molasses
1 cup stout or full flavored beer, remainder to be consumed immediately by cook
Spices, to taste (Jamaica is multi-ethnic and so is this sauce - African, Spanish, Indian, Chinese)
1 tablespoon ground allspice
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon powdered ginger
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin or brown curry powder
3 tablespoons hot sauce (or as you like it)
4 tablespoons soy sauce
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
Ribs
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large pot or saucepan. Heat over medium heat, until thickened and slightly reduced. Cool and store in plastic containers or jars in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Preheat grill to high.

For ribs, place on grill without sauce and sear both sides. Use tongs.(Not forks, which allow juices to run.). Paint both sides with sauce. Place on grill and sear first side, approximately 5 minutes. Turn and repaint seared side. Remove after approximately 5 minutes. Cut and serve.

From Foodnetwork.com Phine. There are tons more...

Oh, my goodness. Hey, Gary, got any bbq sauce and if so, what kind?
I know Stubb's sells bbq sauce. Maybe I'll look and see what Paula Deen uses.

Sorry, Still, but I don't "do" Curry or Molasses. Thanks though.

and I forgot to get lemons. Oh, man, someone needs to fire me!

I'm worse than Jessica Simpson! and I'm not blonde! with apologies to all blondes out there!

Just joking with you...

The bottled one works just as good and who has a bottle of molasses anyhow?

Opps, I just now recall your "slaving over the stove" comment. Didn't mean to be insensitive Phine.

Will you accept some fudge?

After Hurricane Ike, we are fortunate to to have anything. Total refrigerators and freezers had to be tossed due to no refrigeration or ice available for DAYS. Weeks in some cases. Some in Houston STILL don't have power.

All I could get was Pilgrim's Pride chicken and let me tell you, it is not as good as Tyson's. How can a fryer be a tough old bird?

Have you ever thought of being a LIFE COACH, Therapist, "Lay" preacher or whatever they call people who are not ordained but who feel the call anyway.

If you need prayers this morning, I'm ready and waiting.
If you need someone to just listen/read, I'm here.

Yesterday, I just ran out of juice. I took a short nap and woke
up feeling really rough. But I had things to do and had to keep going.

Our pastor wants to know what we do with faith goes flat.
I don't think my faith ever goes flat. I might go flat, but faith doesn't.

I just noticed some gray hairs that have no doubt sprouted during this siege of my husband in the hospital.

I think I need to get out of here. I'm starting to feel the need for some fresh air...but I'll be around here and there.

I believe that is also how I mobilized some lard off my body. The body had to start utilizing the excess fat when it was just getting water. I often fast before church. Likewise, it helps you to focus when your body isn't focused on processing food. I actually sometimes feel better when I don't eat.
Or maybe just have a little honey or a tiny cup of soup when you decide to break the fast.

Grant: I think I was 17 the first time I was offered a book deal, and by then I already had things I wanted to hide.

Scene: What could you possibly have to hide at 17?

Grant: I’m still hiding it.

Scene: What kind of guys did you date back then?

Grant: Older.

Scene: College guys?

Grant: Well, my first official date was to my high school graduation, and he was nine years older than I was.

Scene: What did your parents think about that?

Grant: They liked him, and I think they were probably worn out by the time I came along because I was the youngest [of four]. But I was just curious. I wasn’t destructive.

Any clue about what she is hiding besides a few sticks of LOL Butter?

There's a whole new meaning to "Big Spread" and I'm talking about Vince's weight. Looks like Amy is wearing black on black with a black jacket.
Has middle aged tanya tucker kind of spread finally hit?

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Pisces

Your mind is razor sharp today, making it easy to reach decisions and put your thoughts into words. Make the most of this articulate and brainy phase, especially if that means taking part in a discussion or putting your ideas down on paper. If you need to defend your opinions you'll manage to do so without sounding aggressive or dictatorial.
