It could have been that Amy was the homewrecker..

I believe the songs like "You and You Alone" and "If You Ever Have Forever in Mind" were written (along with others) to lure Amy out of her world and into his world. I know Amy has admitted she suffers from depression as do many in her family. I know when one is depressed (from personal experience) and you find someone who makes you feel happy, it's easy to latch on because when they are around, you tap into their energy. It's very tempting and alluring.

You can call me nuts, but I knew when I heard and saw "House of Love" that there was an out of control raging fire about to happen. I hoped she would turn away, but instead she succumbed to his voice and charms.

It seems the fire has now cooled. They are on separate tours. She gave up golf and now he needs to due to knee and back problems. Vince said something about the need to mix their blood lines in the child named Corrina.

I know how horrific divorce is on a family and its far-reaching effects.

I guess we should just pray for the kids and let the adults fight or wait it out. It's interesting that VG is supposedly not on Amy's
"Lead Me On" tour. I don't care what anyone says. Sometimes,
late at night, she misses Gary. You will never convince me otherwise.

Doesn't Amy claim in Lead Me On interviews that you and she are good friends now? Further, that you would probably tour with her if she asked.

Is that true?

Someone posted as Janis (Vince's ex) elsewhere. I should probably bring it here. The post said VG wanted silence forever, but after the five years were up I believe that is when she did the interview called "In the Shadow of the Spotlight." Do you ever see Janis around town?

Hi There, Couldn't help myself. My name is Janis Oliver, and I am Vince's ex-wife. You are sadly mistaken about so many things. Vince and I had never split up before he became involved with Amy. And when your husband is a huge star, I admit, sometimes it was sometimes a challenge to deal with overbearing female fans..... but our mail lady was never one of them. I've never apologized for anything I've said.... because I've yet to really speak on the matter. Plus, I have nothing to apologize for. Vince and i had a confidentiality agreement lasting for five years. He hoped to seal the issue for life, but I refused. That should say volumes. That five year period has come and gone. Just as Amy has written a book, I too am writing a book. I hope this will answer many questions about what really happened. My book will be honest, funny, insightful... but never mean-spirited. Vince and I are friends, and see each other from time to time, as our daughter, Jenny, sings in and around the Nashville area. He is a fantastic father. I also think quite alot of Amy, and she and I have wanted to get together and share a glass of wine for some time. I realize this doesn't fit in with what you wish to believe is true, but that's not my problem. By the way, the note from the golf bag remains in my lawyers safe. It is not hearsay. Peace and love to you all. Janis

Somehow I really doubt this is Janis. She seems to have moved on after having her say in the Tennessean with the article "In the Shadow of the Spotlight" which can still be found. I really doubt she would like to have a glass of wine with Amy. Maybe someone is just saying that Amy drinks which is already known. Any updates on Vince's ex? I hear she is back in Nashville and performing here and there.

I have found that after years of trying to be the better person and mush on through the snow with people who are toxic, it is now bet to cut them off and not make myself available to be an emotional punching bag. The problem I've had in the past is that people freely give out my phone numbers, address, etc. I've also had people claim I've said things in conversations that I never said...in other words, embellish and twist things. These days, I find communicating less important and prefer written where I can prove....hey, I never wrote that.

I'm really surprised Gary puts up with any of this. He must have the patience of Job.

I don't believe that is a true statement. I think if someone is struggling in a marriage and another comes along that addresses a need (i.e. attention, affection, shared interests, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, etc.) it can influence that person to the point that they want to jump ship. Besides, when you meet someone new and fall in love, I've been told it's the same affect as having a drug coursing through your veins. Not everyone is strong enough to resist that feeling.

The thing is that if a relationship/inappropriate friendship begins when you are still married to another, how do you ever build a foundation of trust? I've always heard that if they will do it WITH YOU, they will do it TO YOU. One friend I have got involved that way and both she and her partner left their marriages and married. They had a child together. Unbeknownst to her, her husband was cheating all the while they were married. He finally married someone else. That lasted a few years and then he again ditched that wife and married someone else. The kick in the head is that they live almost next door to the ex-wife. She focused on raising the son and never remarried. She doesn't even seem to have a significant other. She eventually apologized to the first wife who had been left with a child and no husband due to her.

I hope this makes sense. I can't imagine how he talked a fourth person into marrying him.
And he has nothing financially but married a woman who is rather well-heeled.

Your ex claims she wrecked the lives of your kids 10 years or so ago but that everything and everyone has been reconciled and is now stronger because of the divorce. Welcome to Fantasy Island.

Vince left his home/wife/daughter first. He was single and Amy was not. She tried to hold on for
one more day. I don't know what finally caused the nut to crack so speak or who smashed the vase for the final time (to use her analogy), but it finally happened. I'm not anal enough to go back and check when the songs like "Whenever You Come Around" or "If You Ever Have Forever in Mind" or "You and You Alone" were written/released, but you don't have to be genius to figure out who he had in mind.

In the video "You and You Alone" he even got a girl to dress like Amy and walk barefoot or did Amy copy the girl in the video?

I hope Gary's book is not all watered down and tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Maybe, finally, this will disappear forever!

I'm not that one who has to get over it. These two do along with their families. They should just tell the truth one time. It's taking a toll on them.

It's nobody's business. Where does it say in the Bible that they must put their business out on the street? When have they not told the truth? Did I miss something?

What man could resist this? There's even a quick pic of an apple. Adam and Eve reference?
Who took the first bite of the apple?

Hurry up and finish the book, Gary! Lay all this to rest! You must know the truth.
