Donda West Death May Be Surgery-Related

The mother of Kanye West may have died of complications related to a surgical procedure, a coroner's official said Monday.

Dr.West was an example to us all, a winner who managed to raise a child, alone, who has reached the top and beyond of his profession, as well as chair a department of such importance at a major state university. Most impressive. This loss is not just her families and friends, but the world. Rest in peace in Gods hands.

I'm so sorry for Kanye and his family. I wish people would just forget about cosmetic surgery. Love yourselves for what's on the inside. A lot of what's on the outside can be changed through diet and exercise, and surgery does not come without risk.

Besides, I think it's a waste of good money. I've never known anyone who's had plastic surgery who was completely satisfied or without complications.

This is really too bad. An obviously well educated woman who was trying to do something good just couldn't resist the temptation of vanity brought on by having alot of money at her disposal. I don't understand these mothers of rappers who dress and act like they are the entertainer themselves. P Diddy's mom is the same way. Whey can't they just live the good life and stop trying to look like they are 20 years old?

feel sorry she passed but have to ? her academic credentials ....If a student wrote up poetry like her son writes lyrics, were they getting an A in class, if so, something wrong.

a well educated woman that was warned she had a pre-exisitng medical condition, and that she needed to get clearance because this was an extremly risky COSMETIC surgery, but she went ahead with it anyway. she sounds pretty educated to me????

that should be the headline to this story......sad that people have such a negative self image.....if you ary unhappy with your body..........WORK OUT AND GO ON A DIET...this is the mind set that makes this country hated and laughed at around the world.

RIP Donda West.This reminds me of the story of a sista who passed away in surgery. In her case she was working hard at trying to save her marriage, for a long time this sista had struggled to get her weight in control. She threw parties, very sociable, the type of sista who you knew would liven up a room at an instant. Ruth had conquered everything in life except her weight.
Ruth amazed many of her friends when she suddenly went under the knife. It was the type of thing that she had casually mentioned to her friends, but she hadn’t given anyone the exact date, and who was going to perform the surgery, the hospital and so forth. I guess it was one of those things that she felt that she didn’t need to announce to anyone, just because she had failed several times in the past.
She probably felt that she didn’t need to announce her precise intentions because of shame. Granted Ruth was overweight, granted her marriage was in trouble. Everybody on retrospection knows that losing the weight wasn’t the way out of her maritial problems. There was more to their marriage, for example the fact that her husband felt inadequate around Ruth. He had a job, but he was just the type of man who couldn’t hold a job, he always felt that life was unfair to him. A middle aged Caucasian man, who loved to play spades, watch football and grill his barbecue. He preferred the passengers seat in this relationship. When he heard the news of his wife’s death while undergoing liposuction, he simply dropped dropped on the floor. Folks prayed that it wasn’t going to be a double tragedy.
Ruth tried helping herself, but she was spending her time on the wrong things. She threw parties, instead of educating herself on fitness and nutrition. She spent time on lavish vacations, instead of spending her earned cash on a fitness trainer or fitness camp such as the Structure House down at Duke University. When her friends and relatives realized that they could have done something for this sister, all of them scattered like scared squirrels. They knew that they could have helped Ruth in one way or the other,…..but no, they were more interested in the nice pool parties, thanksgiving dinners and impromptu gatherings.
I couldn’t help but shake my head,why would some friends just let their friends suffer.If anything are these real friends?
