For Christ sake, what are you thinking? FDR and the great depression? WW2? Abraham Lincoln and the freeing of the slaves? Are you just racist?
This is a time where we're in mop up of a police action. Terrorism is a way of life, as it is for Israel, and will be for us forever.
We don't need, can't afford, and don't WANT some Marxist to busy us in social programs like the CCC that we won't get out of for 100 years.
We don't need, can't afford, and don't WANT any more illegals to come to the US and get on the Democrat voting rolls.

Politialy, it signifies the collapse of the deregulation era. Economicaly, we are heading into a deap recession, if we are lucky. We could quite possibly be facing a depression. Fiscally, this country is teatering on the edge of bankruptcy. Geopolitically, we are isolated, our own allies are bothered by our foreign policies. Culturally, until this most recent election, were more interested in Paris Hilton. Obama is a major shift. But, he will not be an FDR or Lincoln if doesn't turn things arround.
