Violations of civil liberties continue

There are 1 comment on the Clovis News Journal story from Nov 18, 2007, titled Violations of civil liberties continue. In it, Clovis News Journal reports that:

“American born, American-educated and American in heart and mind. No charges were filed, no hearing held, only the vague term 'military necessity' was used.”

One of the most disturbing lessons I've learned following 9/11 is that many people will go along with just about any government-imposed outrage if it's couched in the right terms and plays on their fears. via Clovis News Journal

Gee, I thought the most disturbing lesson of 9/11 was how vulnerable we are to terrorists, and how many innocents they are perfectly happy to kill to make their hideous point.
