How fitting that you compare the obamanation to FDR and Lincoln, the two presidents who did the most to destroy America.

FDR and Lincoln and their cabinets had a full and complete understanding of the core problems: Lincoln knew of the shift from an agrarian economy to an industrial one, and FDR knew of national poverty in an industrialized society.

Neither Obama nor his party give any indication of knowledge or recognition of the core problems plaguing our country after the Bush-Clinton-Bush knock out punch. He does not indicate he perceives that we shifted from a welfare state to a police state. He does not indicate he understands that America's war against the family yields families who cannot pay their mortgages.

He appears not to perceive that education is not the core problem; instead, it is our children who remain dependent even after release from foster care who cannot grasp math and science - and indepedent living. For others among our youth, our policy of incarceration for possession of minor amounts of intoxicants leaves a population of ex cons who cannot sustain themselves as well.

This population includes the men and women who end up with bogus criminal records for domestic violence and child abuse largely fabricated by the influx of federal follars which drives courts to prosecute and convict for the money.

Without realizing it, Obama wants to continue the war against the family. He said he wants to further the process of child support and personal responsibility. Anyone who had a bogus imputation of child support and egregious arrearages knows that child support is nothing more than a litigation weapon used to control the access of the middle class, non-custodial parent to his child.

Without realizing it, Obama worsens the plight of African Americans. Even a cursory review of foster care proceedings nation wide will show that African American children are highly over represented in foster care as a percentage of the population. This tends to indicate that African American mothers cannot successfully raise a child, but in fact, we know better; it is the federal dollar that drives the prosecution of these foster care cases (and forced adoptions), not the abilitites of the parents enmeshed in this legal process.

So, for Obama to bring this nation out of its current economic mess, he needs to recognize the damping effect current family policy has on the productivity and success of the middle class. Then, he must provide economic conditions such that housing is affordable to all and that speculation as to housing (and energy) is kept in check. Obama has to secure the economy so that employment (as well as health care) is achievable and maintainable by most. Custodial parents should expect employment, effective schools, sound fiscal policy and the guaranteed availablity of the non-custodial parent to assist in the upbringing of their children.

Neither FDR nor Lincoln could have ever imagined that the federal government would enter the bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms of the American population. The problem is that Obama similarly cannot imagine this. That's the problem and no cure will take place until he does and then he reverses it.
