This is crazy. How can any company make toys that could harm a child. I ask my husband "how can this be?" His answer "They'er made in China." Don't you think it's time to bring some jobs BACK home. Maybe then things would be made a little better for all of us.

I think it is great that they are taking responsibility for the problems and doing the recalls, but really, can we stop them from hurting themselves on everything? Yes, some of this is legit, but if they fall on anything, they can get hurt. Just saying, back in our days, we had no car seats, lead painted toys, and I was an avid second hand smoker at birth. Well...now that I think about it, I might see where these things might be a problem I guess.

I wouldn't say where it is made is the issue, but the poor design and testing prior to production. Fisher Price used to be a name you would happily associate with a toddler and toys.

It seems you just can't trust them anymore. They apparently are more concerned with the bottom line, than they are with making a quality product that children can safely use.

I would happily pay more for an item that will not hurt or kill my child. I don't let me kids play with my guns for a reason, sadly it seems like it might actually be safer comparing safety standards for both industries.

So...how do you all like those cheaper "Made in China" import products? It isn't just toys. It's everything from jewelry to baby cribs to auto parts to pencils. Nothing is spared, because everything IS made in China.

But you do get "more bang for your bucks", right???

seriously, what ever happened to good old "watch your kids" and teaching kids to be tough???? I don't get it! My kids whiz down our steep driveway on their Razor's and fall and get banged up, yet, am I complaining and telling CPSC about it???? It's part of being a kid, they will get hurt!!!! And the choking hazard thing, WATCH YOUR KIDS and they won't have time to put a little piece of plastic in their mouths. Common sense people!

I agree with Sobie. People need to take personal responsibility and stop blaming others or expect government to step in.

An ignition switch protruding is a problem???? What about the handles? They can sit on those if the trike is overturned!

10 injuries, 6 of which required some stiches and you recall 7 milion products????

Gimme a break... Maybe if people start teaching their kids to use their brains and to stop whining less jobs will be shipped over to China.

I think our society is going over board on "safety" - When does a company recall millions of toys over 7 and 14 reports of "injury" - Why not take all toys off the market.... "Bikes recalled because children have fallen - some seriously injured" ... "Or, play-doe recalled because child ate it - choked - and could have died" ....
