BROWN: Tea Party borders on racism

There are 75 comments on the The Paradise Post story from Jul 22, 2010, titled BROWN: Tea Party borders on racism. In it, The Paradise Post reports that:

Can you imagine if the Tea Party was an African-American organization? If like some in the Tea Party, they carried the same kind of racist signs, used the same vitriolic language, sometimes carried firearms to their rallies, talked of seceding from the union and revolution, what then? Republicans, right wing radio and Fake News would be demanding ...

One of the proven "tools" in the bag of democrat dirty politics,is to play the race card against an opponent, dismissing that person or group entirely, once that adversary is smeared. It's a way of stigmatizing someone on the cheap. However, this pathetic political stunt has been repeated so often for so long its becoming like the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf. Voters are wising up to these tactics as the lie is exposed.
David Browns feeble attempt to stir race fear and demean the Tea Party would almost be comical if it weren't so ugly.

I have been to a few of the Tea Party meetings, there was no mention of race let alone any mention of a political party. At the meetings discussions took place regarding over taxation and over spending by our variouis governments, local, state and federal.
The charges of racism from the left have always been to shut down debate. The left cannot and will not debate honestly and so as little children, jaime oneill for one, the minute someone disagrees with Obama's policies they are labeled a racist.
Brown should read the quote from Mary Frances Berry;
"Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness."
The jig is up, your charges of racism are unfounded and are not to be taken seriously.
The jig is not up you moron. What about these photos? These photos are irrevocable proof that the Tea Party is a racist organization.

Branding all people who go to an event on the bad acts of one or even two individuals is so wrong ... there "wrong." When people lawfully objected to the war in Iraq a few from the fringes struck out against soldiers -- one soldier was spit upon after speaking in front of a crowd -- he'd lost limbs in Iraq. It would be as "wrong" of me to allege all who spoke out against the war were guilty of the act of this one "wrong" individual as it is for you (Wrong) to allege those of us who go to tea parties are all racist because of one bad actor.

I went to the April 15th tea party in Chico and found people there dressed up in costumes depicting an Alice in Wonderland theme, with the “Mad Hatter” wearing a ring of “tea bags” around his “green” top hat. I guess if you wanted to argue as you seem to here we’re all from some fairy tale….. Just one problem though. Despite him and his group being at the tea party… he was not a tea partier…. He was there to make fun of those peacefully demonstrating.

By the way, I went up to the group and questioned the older man (wearing the hat) who was surrounded by the young impressionable “college” students (he was a professor I was told at Chico State), and I destroyed his credibility in front of those students. The students thanked me for being so “civil” following their professor’s demise…

I am utterly at a loss to understand what you're trying to say here, Chris. Is this free time at the home? Are you saying that a columnist who is paid to render his political opinion on the editorial page of a paper shouldn't do that? I can't wait to hear the explanation.
you are correct at being at a loss.you take up a lot of paper to say nothing new that liberals like you believe.brown is a fat ass liberal that tells people like you what they want to hear.the bottom line is you call anyone with a different opinion of obama and his liberal goons racist for your facts dont hold up.show me the racist signs brown speaks of.i can show you videos of black panthers intimidating voters but brown cant be found reporting this.this kind of reporting is racist.

That witch doc pic is no different from the old SNL skit with Steve Martin as "Theodoric of York". Nothing racist about poking fun at backward medical thinking like Obama's.

Is the N word racist? Then why do blacks have the exclusive right to use the word on each other, on women, or anyone else, without being called racist?

I was watching an interview of Al Sharpton by Sean Hannity who was asked that same question since Sharpton had used that word many times in the past. Sharpton said that he was sorry for using it himself and that it was wrong for anybody to use it.

Now I'm thinking about what Jesse Jackson said he'd like to do to President Barack Obama's male part.
Then he used the "N" word.

See Sharpton's reaction to the Rev. Jackson's use of the N word from CBS

Same S**t, different day. It's not fear of a black man you foolish man, it's fear of the radical left-wingers in charge of this country... PERIOD! If that loose-lipped, white as the driven' snow, Joe Biden was in charge of this country instead of Obama, there would STILL be a Tea Party, guaran-damn-teed, and the same decent folks would be against the trillions upon trillions, I repeat, TRILLIONS UPON TRILLIONS spent by the drunken' sailors we (temporarily) have in power at this time.
I can Google "racists in the Democratic party" and come up with a butt-load of links, but what good would that do? There are racists EVERYWHERE, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, the left, the right, and everywhere in between. There's a whole gaggle of them in the NAACP. Hell, that worthless and soon to be flipping McDonald's burgers, Harry Reid, used racism against Obama, but left-wingers like you and Brown seemed to ignore that, and were tight-lipped regarding condemnation for that incident. Just another case of hypocrisy.
Your racial spin doesn't work any more, Jamie, and most clear-thinking folks are privy to the relentless "racist" spin belched out by left wing pie holes. It the left's last act of defiance before getting their butts kicked this November.
People who try to stir up racial hatred have the same goals as Charles Manson. Different tactics, same goals.

That's one place I've never been, ishgrl, but there are a pair of total eclipses coming up in 2014-2015 I believe. And tonight around midnight is the height of the Perseid meteor shower...look North to North East. It should be quite a display tonight.

OH ISHGRL, are you there? FYI I did travel to Death Valley to observe a total lunar eclipse February 21, 2008 (at Zabriskie Point which is an area of DV that resembles the lunar surface).
This year I went there to see if the Govt. was really building barracks or some secret detention center. I saw a lot of new stuff, vehicle/equipment repair shops and parking areas but nothing resembling barracks or a detention center.
Interesting place to say the least. I did have a private air show when camped at Stovepipe Wells. Saw F-18s (Possibly from China Lake) doing maneuvers. Even saw the AF F-16's (probably from Nellis AFB) leaving con-trails when I was down at Badwater. Was going to go to Area 51 but the road was so bumpy that it was like driving over logs so I turned around.
I did go to Manzanar, where West Coast Japanese citizens were detained during WW2.
