When my dad died, the EMT's who came to the house to confirm his death asked if there were any prescription medications belonging to my father left over. They took all, pain meds, others and flushed them down the toilet.

Maybe this is a practice that should be eliminated.

More emphasis needs to be given to the "sex hormone" drugs that are found. These are mostly related to birth control pills and other hormonal drugs that are changing the genders of wildlife and possibly sending our children into premature puberty. Where are the environmentalists on this? Silent. Birth control pills are not medication. If environmentalists want to avoid the hypocrisy label, they should be speaking out loudly against these artificial hormones and steroids in our water supplies. Do it for the fishies!

I read (about 20 years ago) that scientists in England discoveres fish with both sets of sex organs in the English Channel. This was attributed to birth control hormones. If this happened to fish I'm sure there is a human impact.

Christian Daughton has an exellent page on the EPA website with his study results.

This whole topic is old news, known to the EPA, water and waste treatment plant operators, and environmentalists.

The report should have looked at how Europe is dealing with this issue. They have a higher population density and their water is cycled more times than ours.

The mainstream media is always manufacturing an environmental crisis to worry those not aware of their agenda.

You make me angry with your comment. Health care should be a right and not a privilege. You want to deny people the meds they need? Spoken like a true capitalist.

Health care is a right!
You have the right to work and pay for it yourself.

Angryman doesn't get it at all. I hope you don't need to have a medical procedure and find out your insurance company won't cover it because they want to make more money. Peace.

Too bad some of us out here do work our arsses off & still can't get benefits. 50 plus hours a week & I still could never come up with $800 a month to cover myself & my daughter so we go without. You really don't get it.

It should be a right but it isn't. Many of the people that are getting denied (or can't afford) health care are citizens of the U.S.

Take a ride down to the emergency room at Regions on a weekend and take a guess who is paying for whom and who is priviliged?

Also - remember that Hillary isn't offering government health coverage that the cost of Iraq alone could pay for. She's offering mandatory premiums (have you noticed there has been no "cost" break down to the average payer?) with the threat of garnishment to those who don't comply.

For all of you who are advocating that the health care system be turned over to the federal government to administer I ask you to consider this;
These would be the very same people that have been in charge of the "war on poverty", the "war on drugs", our border security, our educational system, our social security system and our tax system.
Do you HONESTLY expect the health care system to flourish and succeed with them in charge?

Hey Angry Workingman, I can be angry and mean spirited too, but you have taken the art of vituperative projection of one's inadequacies onto the powerless to a new height. Thank the Lord we have venom spewing gents like you to show us all the way! Thanks for sharing.

Rob, Stanley and St Paulie Girl are either on the dole, communists, or both.
Who else could possibly advocate taking from those who work and giving it to a group that does not?

of course the drinking water has been clouded with mind altering drugs, how else do you explain George Bush being voted into office not once, but twice?
