Maroon 5's "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" deserves MUCH higher than a C.
Buy the album, you'll realize that, too.
I promise.

Glenn, just to clear one point up. Adam wrote most of Nothing Lasts Forever BEFORE Kanye asked him to sing on "Heard Em Say". Kanye liked the song so much, it's why he asked Adam Levine to collaborate with him, so to single out that song as being bland is to say the song that led to the collaboration in the first place is worse than the song it gave rise to, which is a leap of logic. Also, the sound on this album is very original and there's a difference between copping the style of an artist and being inspired by one, and Maroon 5 far more demonstrates the latter.

Yea man, this cd is sooo much better than the first. I saw an interview with Adam and the band and they talked about some of their main influences being Prince, Michael Jackson and The Police, so what is wrong with trying to sound like those guys? I think they pull it off quite well. And if you were in a band that went from the bottom to the top like they did, you'd be a little cocky too.

Adam Levine & Company have a long list of artists that have influenced their music including Prince and the Police. This doesn't mean that they want to become the next this or that. Artist's experiment all the time. This album is as diverseified as the first(pop, rock,R&B,funk,ja zz)which is why it appealed to so many. No other band sounds like them, I love it. Mr. Glenn, you missed it, so I'll give you an F and IWBSBL an A+.
