I actually appreciate somebody even bothering to review E & L on this tour. They are so far from the current scene it's good to get even a naybob review, I guess. But you lost major credibility with me when you summarily dismissed Tarkus. If you were ever really a true ELP fan, you would shown some appreciation for the intricacies of Tarkus, which really is a seminal prog rock creation. Until the last part each segment is about as long as your average punk song, and is full of inventive interplay and odd-time signatures, with a simple anti-war lyrical themes weaved in for good measure.
Prog rock listening requires some commitment beyond pop short attention span theatre. If all you like from ELP are conventional songs like Lucky Man and From the Beginning, then you are a pop fan not a prog fan.
