i am the owner of elvis presleys palm springs california home. recently, i purchased on behalf of my foreign business partner elvis' wedding ring that was offered for sale through a california memorabilia company. it appears however this ring that i commited to buy for 155,000 usd is in fact elvis' replacement wedding ring and not the one actually used in elvis and priscilla's may 1st, 1967 wedding ceremony. i have a clear and definitive photo of the original ring with elvis wearing it but would like a second photo to support my contention that the ring i have commited to buy is indeed his second wedding ring. i learned late after the auction that elvis lost his original ring at the circle g ranch and it was never found.even though thr ring i have purchsed is elvis' replacement wedding ring, the ring is still of historical significance and importance to elvis fans and to myself. it is my duty however for the sake of future generations to determine once and for all the exact circumstances surrounding the loss by elvis of his original wedding ring. was his original wedding ring ever found? if so, when and by whom? anyone with clear definitive photos of elvis' original wedding ring or who has knowledge and information that can be validated regarding the mystery of his original wedding ring should contact me, reno fontana, toll free at 1-877-PSELVIS or e-mail to pselvis1@yahoo.com this is your chance to help solve the mystery of the elvis wedding ring to ensure the integrity of that solemn day for the sake of the accuracy of history. please forward this story to friends, family, elvis fans, internet sites, and news organizations around the world. thank you for your support in this matter. sincerely, reno fontana

Reno,

I read that elvis lost his ring and it was NEVER found. I have not read or heard since if it was ever recovered.
Strange though, you would think that if they knew for sure that is was lost on Circle G that a team would have set out with some kind of metal detector and looked for being something so precious.
I reckon it's all a scam from EPE just like all the rest of graceland stuff of Elvis, all replicas with originls hidden away in a secret vault.

Why do you think that all the originals are in a vault?

This came out of Lisa's mouth.
she said that all Elvis's Jumpsuits on display were all replicas and the originals are all preserved. In fact she also said all photos and all of Elvis personal belongings are all preserved in this vault that has all the requirements needed for lifetime preservation and is guided 24/7 by extremely high security.

They took Ophra in the "archives", a type of vault, that is on the Graceland grounds when she visited on her road trip. I think she was the first outside person to get to go in there. Did you see that show? They had rows of files, jumpsuits and other clothes in boxes, pictures, posters, and then in some smaller boxes they had the "fun items"-they showed a ring and a pair of his sunglasses. They didn't say anything on that show about having all the costumes/jumpsuits in there. I think it was like sixty something, and you know he had more than that. I'll have to look at that again. They do have several warehouses because he never threw anything away! Ophra got to eat dinner with Lisa and her husband at the dining table. I remember Gail was just scraping those chairs back and forth when she got up getting more food-it was funny. Ophra is the one who wanted to go-I don't think it meant anything to Gail.

When did lisa say this??? I have never heard such a thing and it all sounds a bit creepy to me...kinda like area 51! lol..

I believe people are seeing the real deal.. I saw the suits when they came to Melbourne and they were actually in tempature controlled glass boxes with guards around them.

Yes Sandy I saw the whole show on Oprah.
I was a bit disappointed to see that Lisa looked bored towards the end. The look on face was like she was saying to herself, "When is this going to finish".
Yes, I agree it was Oprah who wanted to go but Gail did appear to get more into it as time went on but Lisa was really not interested at all.
It was very interesting to see so much of Elvis things all neatly folded and wraped in special paper filed away in those big draws and I was very surprised to hear that his jumpsuits on display are all replicas. I guess it does make sense to preserve/protect all originals. Only sad that fans think they are seeing the real thing. I also heard that no photos are allowed to be taken while inside Graceland because they say that it fades the furniture.
I reckon alot of this has got to do with the whole business, why let fans take photos when we can sell them instead..........
Same old story, everyone making money of Elvis as usual.

Nat, my post to Sandy and also Sandys says more on this subject.
As for what you saw, all replicas and i suppose the temperature control and the guards is all part of the business too.
Even if they are replicas, they too have to be looked after and taken care of.
It's a shame since Elvis has gone, everything that has come out is all lies even Elvis things that us fans think that are a part of Elvis (Jumpsuits etc) are lies also.

I didn't notice Lisa looking bored. She might have been a little tired. I did notice her looking sad when they had the ring and sunglasses out. Kind of a look like-I want you to see these things, but it makes me sad. I guess everybody sees something different. I have this show on my DVR and transfered to a DVD using my DVD recorder-a good way to get the specials and movies. I have watched it a couple of times, but will have to look again because I never heard them say anything about the costumes on display being fakes. I don't care, but I don't know why they would go to the extra expense of copying all the costumes and putting them in special cases-that makes no sense. The wedding clothing was real-they said that and I noticed the sleeves on Priscilla's gown have yellowed a little.

As far as I know, she didn't say it. I'm fairly sure nobody said it on that Ophra show, but I'm going to look again and let you know. Like I said, that would make no sense-I think it is probably one of those urban legends that surround Elvis.

The asnwer to you comment Nat, is simple, NOTHING LASTS FOREVER so every possible means is necessary to protect/preserve the originals.

This does make sense if you really think about it Nat.

I am in contact with a perosn in the US that is associated with EPE and she has confirmed this. Almost everything you see of Elvis are either copies or replicas, i am not bullshiting here.......

NAT, HERE IS PART OF THE EMAIL FROM THE SOURCE.

Did you know about the 'secret room' at Graceland? Not to many people know about this but it was recently mentioned on Oprah. Oprah was allowed in there when she went to visit Graceland. We have all been under the impression that we were seeing the real jumpsuits that Elvis wore. ALL of Elvis' memorabilia is stored in this room..
Though millions of fans have toured Graceland, no ticket could get you into the last room on the tour-a secret library of Elvis memorabilia. Its very existence is so top secret that The Oprah Show cameras were turned off to protect the location. The room-which houses Elvis's most personal possessions-is fireproof, earthquake-proof and tornado-proof.

Most of the things in this room-which include signed checks, more than 60,000 photographs, his famous sunglasses and 88 jumpsuits-have never even been seen by the public!

Can you believe it. All the jumpsuits the public sees are fake..That's not going to sit well with the fans...

i have it from an inside autority that the did use metal detectors to try and find the ring. however, elvis wasnt exactly sure where he lost his wedding ring at the ranch and it was impossible to search over 150 acres. also the metal detectors available in 1967 were incredibily inferior to the metal detectors available in 2007
