I think the estimates for that "acetate" are well exaggerated. I will be watching the auction with interest. I have talked with other record dealers, and they doubt that it will fetch the money that is being talked about. It looks to be in bad condition, to the point of being unplayable, If it were an "acetate" this would be expected as acetates have a very limited lifespan, and can only be played a certain number of times before the sound quality suffers. So this along with the fact the music on it is not unique will cut into the pool of potential bidders. If I had been consulted, then I would have gone out on a limb with an estimate of $20,000. The "My Happiness" "acetate" (it is not actually an acetate)would be a more valuable piece.

The amazing amount of world-wide publicity generated by the Whytes Elvis etc Memorabilia auction at the RDs venue in Ireland is sure to influence potential buyers. TV, Radio, the press, and webpages, ensure it will not go unnoticed.

The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin and a host of other stars are represented. Should be quite a day in Dublin.

Interesting times we live in.

UK Record Collector magazine reckons the single sided acetate disc Dewey Phillips played on QHBQ would be worth a little more than the very valuable two sided acetate discs.

Roll on SundaY and the Whytes of Dublin memorabilia auction results!

Oh my word of stars it's the old Scotsman back peddling his wares. Post after post after post, over and over again. Let's hit you over the head with information about this auction shall we? Has anybody here heard about an upcoming auction? Will this thing even sell?? I doubt it. Scotty winds up with egg all over his wrinkly face again. Can't wait for this auction to come and go and then Scotty can head for the exits.....again. Bye bye in advance Scotty.

It's now about time we boost the other side of the story and tell the whole truth here. Scotty was involved in an Elvis auction back in 2008, Bonhams at Knightsbridge in Lodnon. He helped sell two fake Elvis letters that he and his bride had owned for nearly 50 years. 5 mninutes before the auction of the two fake letters (they were penned not by Elvis but by secretarial staff at Graceland) Scotty gave the letters to his offspring, then he went and bid on them to drive the price up!!!! That's called shill bidding and is highly immmoral and in most peoples books illegal. And then he bragged openly here about the fact he shill bid on his "familys" letters!!!!! Who wants someone like that hanging around, promoting or in anyway involved in an Elvis auction??? The best adivce we can offer is to run away from any Elvis auction this man is involved in. His motives and involvement in this auction at Whytes in Dublin should not be trusted. His track record proves this. Please spread the word and this information to fellow fans and collectors. Thank you.

Troll alert! Dolbyscat is at it again...as Sadie cross dresser. LOL.

Today the Auction was discussed on RTE1 Radio. Old impotent stories by demented lunatics are ignored in the real world
