ELVIS PRESLEY: ITALIAN FANS TOGETHER TO PUSH ELVIS’ NEW ALBUM “RE:MIXES” TO TOP OF ALBUM SALES CHART
Milan, October 16th, 2009.
Elvis Presley n.1 in the Italian album record sales chart. A dream that could become true for the first time in history for thousands of Italian fans of the King of Rock’n’Roll, 32 years after his death. On the 30th of October the new official Elvis’s album “Re:Mixes” will be released and since days an unstoppable word of mouth has been spreading all over the Internet to go to buy the record in the shops on the day of the release or the day after, so that the highest possibile number of copies sold will concentrate in the same week and be counted for the official album sales chart.

If many copies of the new album will be bought in those two days (October 30th and 31st), there are serious chances that Elvis Presley’s new album “Re:Mixes” will enter the album chart straight at n.1.“The number one in the chart would be a fantastic and historical event – people say at Milan’s official Elvis’s fan club “One Night With Elvis”, among the leaders of the word of mouth.- This news would go around the world and would make all Italian fans pride. It would also be a perfect tribute to Elvis, whose music keeps on giving us great emotions”.

In the meantime the word of mouth is spreading rapidly, expecially since people heard that Mike Stoller, legendary producer for Elvis of hits such as “Jailhouse Rock” and “Hound Dog” among many others, said the new album is “amazing”. The stores are getting a lot of pre-orders and considering the fact that Elvis Presley’“Re:Mixes” will be the first album in history to be sold on a new media called VinylDISC (a special CD made of Vinyl that can be played also on a turntable), becoming therefore a valuable item for any record collection, it’s sure the album will be a hit. And who knows, maybe Elvis is ready to amaze all of us again.

I can't find it in the stores. I guess you have to
get this release by mail order only. I've have not
heard good good things about it. The last one that
came out last year was just ok, but it was mainly
because of Elvis's voice. 50's material should not
be remixed. It just doesn't work. Unheard movie
groovers from the mid 60's should be the focus when
making Elvis Presley remixes. They are the least
favorite period among fans, so a remix can get
exposure for Elvis without it being an issue since
these were never considered classics to begin with.
A lot of fans are angry with destroying the 50's
classics in an update. What's wrong with BMG/SONY?
Don't they want to listen to what the fans really
want? After all, we are the ones who buy Elvis CDs.

nope, they continue as the Col Parker did

keep pumping out the same thing until it stops selling

and then figure out what will sell next

no other artist is treated like an ATM like Elvis is
