UNFORTUNATELY a few Elvis fans were jealous and felt inadquate, so they turned on me like spoilt children, accusing me of self promotion.
Well I can see that is an easy conclusion to jump to. If you are not very bright.:-)
The vast majority of Intelligent Elvis fans have seen how such valuable publicity can work wonders for ELVIS's image.
It continues :-) We expect to generate more newspaper and magazine stories very soon.

Hi Maurice
Unjustified would be how I describe the slating you got from some people at CD Collectors. As your list proves, it's not self promotion, it's ELVIS promotion. Pleased to see you are keeping up the good work.
DJC is both arrogant and rude - although you are not the only one to be subjected to his venomous tongue. His fan club has 2 members, Doctor John Carpenter and Johnny Savage. Good luck to them both!

You are welcome TCB-Girl, we can only try. We owe it to Elvis to see that present and future generations get the chance to appreciate his wonderful voice just as millions learnt to appreciate the great composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky etc.

Sharing is caring.

Little mouse, I'm still standing, nevertheless :-)

I have been reading about Elvis in the UK's "Radio Times", "The New York Times", "The Irish Times" etc and all the News websites and message boards.

The 30th Anniversary was mentioned, with views of Graceland on our TV3 News here in Ireland last night.

I have been thinking about what they say about Elvis and respond with humour whenever I can, to unfair reports.

honest Elvis fans are often attacked by disreputable people on Elvis message boards such as FECC, that is an unfortunate state of affairs, especially when "Moderators" turn a blind eye, therefore encouraging liars!

Those of us out in the open take it all in our stride :-)

Thanks for the input Maurice. Isn't it amazing that even when we don't speak the same language....we all understand ELVIS love.:)

TCB-girl, I don't know about understanding Elvis, a few words in certain songs of his had me puzzled for decades :-)

Lovely to see all the mostly positive Elvis publicity arriving by the minute!

It sure did TCB-girl.

Figuring out Elvis is a lifetimes work, and more :-)

People haven't figured Ludwig Van Beethoven yet, but we are working on it. Are you listening Maestro? http://irelandtoo.blogspot.com

Hosestly Maurice I know nothing about Beethoven. Where would one begin? How did you find him? I do know know the classical ones. Never met them so to speak. ;)

Meant to say with my arthritic fingers on the keyboard...that I do NOT know the classical ones.

A movie on the life of Chopin "The Poet of the Piano" set us off on a lifetimes journey.

Classical music can be easy or difficult to appreciate, depending on your approach.

We all loved classical pieces of music without actually knowing. It was used in a great many old movies...even in "Frankenstein" of the 30s :-)

Our children grew up with it, playing instruments in an orchestra, so are classical musicians, whereas Maureen and I cannot play a thing!!!

LOL.

I can also play a comb ;-)

Ger (Tallhair) Rijff is having a little fun on For Elvis CD Collectors Only, Forum. There are a few humourless individuals there too.

Meanwhile a "Moderator" on TCB World is having to lay down the laws again......and again.:-) http://irelandtoo.blogspot.com

But Lakeisha prattles on and on...... testing her/his admirers to the limit :-)

Meanwhile numbers bothering to post on FECC are dwindling. I wonder why?

The present controversy (or storm in a tea-cup) is about whether or not Dr John Carpenter MD is King of the FECC Forum?

Yes he is, or appears to be the unchallenged King of Elvis Trivia. A virtual M.A. on the subject :-)

If I was to study Ludwig Van Beethoven trivia I might, just might, impress a few real scholars on the Beethoven Forums......... for about two minutes. LOL.

Well, Dan. I've just had one of my threads deleted, in which I asked PEP to delete the superfluous CBS "Elvis in Concert" threads. My thread was deleted; the others still exist. Says it all. Till we meet again, may God bless you. Adios.
Think I'll join you Cryo......the bias of the Admin (as above), coupled with the negativity towards our hero ,shown by certain forum members, really tests ones fandom.......... it also erodes the enjoyment of the music.
Thank you and goodnight."

Two more Elvis fans leave FECC because of the partisan "Moderation"!

Maybe that's why I am getting a little flak here from truth challenged individuals?:-)

More trouble on FECC where double standards are tolerated and Censorship the RULE.
