ElvisFan wrote: Can anyone explain to me why Elvis' name is mis-spelled on his grave stone. It isn't mis-spelled at all. Gladys and Vernon christened him Aron, but his birth certificate - via a mistake from the doctor - had it listed as Aaron. The original birth records list Aaron, so when Elvis decided to change it in the mid-sixties, to be like the Biblical spelling, there was no need to. It was already Aaron. ElvisFan wrote: Why his funeral was 1 day after his death. It wasn't. It was two days after. Very common. Not an issue. ElvisFan wrote: And why there is one life insurance policy still un-cashed? Elvis likely had multiple policies, and it was forgotten about in the confusion. Again, not an issue.

moonshinegrrl420,it's everyone's right to have an opinion right or wrong; just remember a couple of points or facts;Music had changed styles quite a few times since Elvis first came on the scene and Elvis had changed his style as well but styles came and went and Elvis still remained The King.Entertainers that excelled in those styles all gave credit to Elvis even Alice Cooper in the 70's said that Elvis was the creator and without him there wouldn't have been music as we know it;Eminem even said that Elvis was the greatest and will always be the greatest and no matter what style of music you sing or play that you are just an imitator of the inventor. Notice that there are and have been entertainers wearing crowns such as king of pop, king of soul, king of rap and so on but Elvis was known as The King which meant of all styles. Ticket sales to his concerts never declined instead they would sell out and extra concerts were created (this I know from my employment in Australia during the 70's - I had access to concert information world wide). There were only a handful of people that cashed their concert tickets in for a refund when he died and the thousands of others that were sold, to this date have never been cashed in. Here is my opinion, Elvis, had he lived, would've probably become a recluse for a period of time to get back into shape then would have re-appeared back on to the scene bigger and better and maybe he would have gotten rid of The Colonel and toured overseas for the very first time; In 1973 Australia offered him 1 million dollars per show, which naturally was turned down.Anyway as I said I respect your opinion but remember Elvis was never JUST an entertainer and the reason he makes more money dead than alive is because he isn't around to spend his money generously as he always did.

Damn lady I said its an opinion and I was postulating a possible scenerio, this is the Elvis as extra in home alone thread, I don't care what you think about my opinion, I have my thoughts on yours but I don't come on here trying to call you out or belittle you or your opinions. I am open minded and I read peoples ideas and some are out there, but all are thought provoking. I just don't feel the need to crack on people over their ideas, I feel sorry for people that are so insecure that they can't stand an anonymous person's thoughts not to comform with theirs.

Would just like to know the input of others. Thanks Unclaimed life insurance policy: The Insurance Policy was a Tour Policy stating that if anything happened on the road or during the tours the people would be paid. Basically a policy to cover the show promoters butts.

Nina How do you decide which "conspiracies" should be taken seriously? That whole Ginger and the Enquirer thing - couldn't that also be considered to be a conspiracy of sorts? So why is that particular one worthy of comment, and others not? I am not in support of either - but I really do not understand why one is acceptable and the other not...

whoever put the nuts comment up there -care to explain why?
Or is it easier to hide behind a screen and do that instead of giving an honest answer.
The fact is that the Elvis world is surrounded by assumptions, innuendos and conspiracies.
My question is simply why are some worthy of suuport and others ridiculed?

jina wild wrote: Nina How do you decide which "conspiracies" should be taken seriously? ..... just basic assessment credibility of source what's the possibility of truth to the claim what evidence/merits of the case complexity of the conspiracy for example - the Eliza claim - could Vernon have fathered a late in life child? low possibility, he wasn't in good health - he'd already had a heart attack before Elvis died. He'd divorced Dee - so would he at his advanced age really be likely to have a hook up with a young girl? would a young girl hanging around Graceland really be interested in Elvis' dad? when I read that she's initially tried for Elvis as Daddy and then switched to Vernon, her credibility further decreased so, by the time Donna Early, Dr Hinton and Jesse got pulled into it I mean, Elvis is alive and is helping her prove she's his sibling? or, Ginger - okay, yes I have to factor in that I am willing to believe bad things about her but is it unbelievable that the much younger and possibily gold digger girlfriend would call the media for a payout for an exclusive story before calling for help? with Elvis clearly dead and help isn't going to change the outcome? yes, that's not unbelievable - but, we don;t really know it happened. when you have to add a lot more people to make the conspiracy work, the likelihood of it being true goes way down.

I am doing extensive research into the home alone elvis and spoken to the only person who would know Barbara Roche 1 half of Holzer/Roche extras casting who casted all the extras for home alone. As things stand from 1/11/09 as per the email i received Barbara Roche says she was on set that day with partner Cathie Holzer for 1 hour for a meet with John Candy, but was not there for the filming of the scene, she honestly had no idea about the myth surrounding the extra until my enquiry. After studying the scene a few times she says she does'nt recognise the extra so with that in mind, she is going to further investigate on my behalf and pass her findings onto me.
