I'm just wonderng why did Priscilla take it upon herself to change all the interior back to the way it was when she lived there and was married to him? was it because Linda Thompson wanted it decorated in red?( I don't know if that's the case or if Elvis wanted it that way)I think i read someplace that he didn't like it done in red though...
I like it better not red, just from the photos. but, I always wondered what her reason was for changing it back to the way it was at a time when she lived there years before.

For what it is worth.... all the early years of Elvising I heard that Elvis did not care very much for the color red....so was a bit suprised he later agreed to decorate his home in reds/whites. I do think from what I have read on the WWW that the majority of fans prefer the home be left the way it was the day he left us. (While I myself prefer the blues/whites in general as it is easier on the eyes)...I think if I visited Graceland I would want it the way it was the last time Elvis saw it...not the way it was the day Priscilla walked out the door on him.

You said it TCB Girl! Priscilla hated Memphis--Elvis loved Memphis. Graceland was his haven...but when has it ever been about Elvis, especially with Priscilla after he died?

Hey Charla----Honey, you have opened a hornets nest....guess youd have to ask the famous Mrs. Presley, who remained Mrs. P though living as common law for over 15 years with her second child's father.....hmmm.....she didnt mind not having the name of her own baby son while raising him with his father...so do you think it bothered her to change Graceland the way it was after she left? I think the answer lies hidden in who Priscilla is really trying to promote....It is somewhat deceptive too because there is no history about the other people who lived there , not even Charlie Hodge who lived there permanently for 17 years..........oh whats that saying 'ITS ALL ABOUT ME!"

Yep, that's what I figured, LauderdaleLady...that was her reason. and don't mean to open up a hornet's nest on purpose but i believe that's a risk anytime "her" name is mentioned haha... it could be debated to death. I can't believe I once really admired her. before I came to know how it all really went down. but I won't start on that again, it's been talked about to death i know.( why's it so hard NOT to comment on it though at times) haha. I try not to judge but... you know, like our favorite guy said about walking a mile in thier shoes...but it's real tough for me not to be very opinionated about "P.P." anymore.

CHARLA--i UNDERSTAND what you are saying. I have thought some may have to say nice things about Priscilla if they want her support, especially related to EPE and Graceland. I am thinking about another thread but I am not naming names.

The reason Priscilla changed Elvis's home is because she hated Elvis whom we fans loved and still do and made it all about her "name" her "money" it's all about the "widow" Presley

I am not a huge Elvis fan but did want to go to Graceland. While I was there I was in awe, thinking, wow, this is where he did this or this is where he did that. After we visited, I found out Priscilla changed everything and I felt I was duped. I wish I had known that before because I would've saved myself the money. It has left ill feelings for me.

Why?

It was changed back to how Elvis had it and loved it for most of his time there.

Elvis didn't like the decor that was there for the last two years, it was mainly Linda Thompson's taste (she was his last serious girlfriend).

The house is now how Elvis loved it, and is more akin to his spirit, and how he felt about the house.

I like the interior at Graceland and I like the way Cilla has done the house up, it would be nice if she sold some of this furniture in her new designs that she has just brought out and not just in America I am sure that they would sell well in England.

I been reading on elvis. I know it's big deal . Priscella been remarried but why keeping preseley last name if not living off it. The blue & white is real pretty but why not leave it the way it was. Priscella left elvis for another man, elvis lived there & died there. I could see if she went back to him. I would kill myself to get him drugs knowing he was my daughter father. I've read she still loved elvis but where was she when it got real bad

It is quite common for women to keep their last names after a divorce. Especially if a child is involved. The house looks great in blue/white. The reds, in pics anyway, looked garish and too bright. Anyone who is a fan and goes to see Graceland can feel his presence when you roll through the gates, moreso inside the house. Linda Thompson, in my book, is a great lady. I can understand why she wanted to change things after she'd settled in there. I'm sure she believed she'd be the next Mrs. Presley. Too bad it didn't work out. Anyway, Priscilla is no longer the final word on decor. I'd imagine Lisa is these days.

Maybe Priscilla simply wanted to change it back to the way Elvis preferred it. And maybe it had something to do with returning the interior to the way it was when Elvis was happiest. At any rate, you Priscilla haters really know how to create a story that always demonizes Priscilla. It's really amazing how some people can be such haters--It must be genetic. Lastly, Graceland is about Elvis, not the late Charlie Hodge.

Is this supposed to be Elvis?

Jon Cotner - Do You Believe Me Now - Tribute To Lisa Marie - Golden Oldies Part 3 CD

This is Jon Cotner, not Elvis.

IF Cotner is trying to sound like Elvis, he is certainly not doing a very good job . lol!

And, let's face it, it's pretty odd that he would be doing a tribute to Lisa Marie. It seems to me that Cotner is having fun fooling a few fools into thinking that he is or may be Elvis.

Come on. Don't be so gullible.

Elvis always loved precilla you can always tell they had great chemistry unfortunately when drugs get the best of you or any type of addiction it brings out the worst in people and it did just that to elvis and it tore the family apart and while p.p.was home and elvis was out he had the affairs.a person can only take so much before breaking down and leaving. For all tbese years if P.p.didnt love E.P.than 1. She wouldnt have kept his last name and 2.She and Losa would have given up on graceland and to return graceland back into its original colors i think its good.and as for faking his death thats questionable. When you cant keep the story straight it is possible .has anyone ever dug his grave up to say for sure. Its possible this jon character could be elvis it is possible he faked his death.back then drug places werent as popular as they are today.so if he faked it then i think he needs to come out in hiding and explain what he can he owes his fans that much and if he is dead then leave him alone and let him rest in peace.

To anyone who has had the opportunity to visit Graceland and stand and walk where Elvis did, the color scheme was probably a mute point. Pricilla may have changed a few things but 95% of the houses was like Elvis wanted it. If it was the "early day look" or the "later day look" who really cares! It was his home, everyone else who was there at any point was "secondary". I would go back today and if the color scheme was different I still wouldn't care. Just to be there would be awesome!

I was at Graceland in February and the house seemed so dead. I didn't get any feeling of the presence of Elvis. This was my fourth visit to Graceland and all feeling of Elvis was gone. It's a beautiful house. I would have liked to have seen it as it was when Elvis died. It really doesn't matter anymore, because I believe he is singing with the angels in heaven.
