I have tickets for the 25th as well! I asked the guy on the phone if we had to be there super early and he said no. He said that was an old process and they changed the way they do it. As long as we're there by 12:30 we'd be fine. I hope that's true because I don't plan on being there until about 11:30.

Thanks for the info Lisa...

Cece you have to wait till the ticket calendar gets to the day you want tickets for. Check the calendar everyday cause only a few days become available for tickets every week... i checked everyday in august for sept. 22nd to become available. The first day it did i applied and got garanteed tickets... they called me about a week after i applied. good luck!

we went on the Sept 11 show with guaranteed tickets and our sign in time was 1pm but we got there at 11:15 and they just checked us in and we went around the area a little. We went back to the waiting area and half an hour before our check in time, they told us to line up and you get your numbers then. You don't really need to be there that early, however, i don't know about stand bys. They seemed to have to get there earlier than us. But still probably not that early.

We have guaranteed tickets for Oct 1st... from what I understand, they do not want a line at 4am anymore. They overbook and standby's that don't get in the audience get the riff-raff room. Not too sure what to expect, don't really care either. We just want to have fun, this is a birthday present for me, as I haven't celebrated it since my 21st (almost 39 - sigh!) Good times for all is all that matters to us.
We will update as soon as we get back!!

By the way, we recieved our info package about 2 1/2 weeks after we got our call - about 3 weeks before our scheduled taping. It's not tickets, but you have to take the letter to the gate with you along with photo ID... I will find a way to post a copy of the letter with all the info. Also, they offer a tour discount at WB so don't pay full price, wait until you get there.

someone will call you a couple of days before your taping just to confirm that you are going. and I received my letter a few weeks before we went. It's pretty fun. The WB VIP tour that they offer is $5 off the regular price so it comes out to be $40 for it and you should go there early because the tours are early in the morning if you want to do it before the show.

I found this website while searching for Ellen Show info before my trip today. I thought I would post my experience to help others who want to know more. I got my packet maybe 2-3 weeks in advance. They called to confirm the ticket amount this week. Today they taped 2 show with 2 different audiences taping at 3:30 and 6:00. We taped today (Thursday) for Friday's show. As for the Stand-By line, it was quite short probably because nobody extra special was there today. I don't have any clue how long they'd been standing there but there was about 15 people. The Riff Raff room seemed large enough to hold a lot more people. So, if you go on an average day you'll probably get to sit there. You don't need to arrive early for guaranteed tickets and we got there maybe a half hour early. The waiting area is SUPER HOT. Wear light clothing unless it's a cool day. It was over 95 today. Don't worry at all about getting a good number. They take one look at you and deside where you should sit. Um.... my last piece of advice is to have fun even if they don't give out any gifts. I had a blast anyway and seeing a taping of Ellen was something I had been wanting to do.

Oh, and I have heard about people arriving SUPER DUPER early for certain days for Stand-By tickets. People who get guaranteed tickets to the Ellen Show usually go so.... I don't think it would hurt to allow a few hours or more for the stand-by line. But... I haven't really experienced being in THAT line. Good Luck!!! There's always the Riff Raff Room.

when you click on the calendar and on the day that you want, i think they call you back in the order your request goes in. So, if you requested later than a lot of people, chances are, you probably won't get guaranteed tickets. I really can't tell you how stand by tickets work and how early people go there. It seemed like even when we got there, there was a little line, but I'm assuming that groups had come earlier and gotten tickets for their standbys and others came later and formed other lines. We never asked them about it. You should call the person you talked to and ask them about yoru stand by tickets.

Ok.Thanks

They are not very specific when you ask them>They said gates open at 8am and you have to be in line by 12:30pm. When we asked if we should be lined up they said if we wanted a spot in the audience then we should be there early...they can't say for sure one way or the other.

As dfor them calling in the order they are received I know that is not the case because I put my request in almost a full day before my friend that lives in LA and they called her and I have never received anything!

I have tickets for November 5, 2008. They are standby tickets and the guy told me that if I don't get in the audience I will get in the riff raff room and guaranteed tix for another show. So its a win win situation he said. I am so excited I just hope I actually get in the audience. He said they anticipate empty seats so get there early.

We went to yesterdays taping (Oct. 1st), saw Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Hannah etc.. It was alot of fun. We had to be there by 1pm for guaranteed seating. I do believe that everday is a little different, especially Thursdays as they tape 2 shows. Once there, you check in and get a hand stamp. Stand in line and get a "ticket" which is a laminated number. Tip: the earlier you get there and stand in line, the earlier you get into the studio. We were #'s 53, and 54. They let VIP's in first, then call by number.
We were taken from the waiting area which is basically a parking garage with seats. The area is clearly marked Studio 3. As we were called, were escorted across the street into a large studio. We were let into the studio and guided to seats in the second row, we were seated in front of the VIP's. We actually were sitting right next to Mary, one of the producers. We were able to watch the controls, and when Jazmine Sullivan was singing, Ellen sat right next to us at the controls.
The folks we were chatting with while waiting had numbers int the 120's and they were mid-way up in the crowd. My best suggestion for anyone with guaranteed seats, show up a little early for the line, get your number, they let you walk around for about an hour or so and come back. They will call your number in order, so it pay's to be a little early, although it's not necessary to be more than 20 minutes or so early. Smaller groups do well too because they are easier to seat. There was 3 seats available right in from of us. There are 4, but one is dedicated to staff, so the first group of three get's the front row right in front of the big door Ellen comes out of for her monologue.
Don't forget to bring photo ID, or you don't get in. Be prepared for security checks, they will NOT allow any type of cameras inside including cell phones, they check phones to make sure they are off. If you are seen attempting to use your phone, you will be approached by one of many, MANY staff in the studio. It's amazing how many people work on the show.
Most important... have fun!! It's a blast!!!

Nope, not too many. I'd say about 20-25. One thing to consider, check out the Ellen web page. Figure that the day you tape is the day before it airs. If a big name appears, and I mean a really big name, anticipate a huge line for stand-by. If you go on a Thursday, anticipate if your in the early taping which airs friday. If your in the late taping, That'll be the next monday show. For stand-by, just plan on being early. Gates open at 8am. The riff-raff room is where you'll be otherwise. I'm posting pictures to our myspace account. If I knew how to post them here I would. Good luck to all, hope you have the same wonderful time we did!!

My dad and I got in line at 4:30am to wait for tickets. Then we got back in line again at 11am. The show was at 4pm. Worth every second!
