I've been going through a really rough time recently and no one has been there for me. When I listen to Ella, I don't have a problem in the world. I am lost in the music and I just feel warm and pure and safe.
Ella keeps me alive.

I'm with you Sami. Ella (particularly her "Songbook series") takes you away to a better place. I was telling my daughter this morning that she is probably the finest singer in the history of popular music. She was certainly quite versatile style-wise with a great range, pitch, tone and excellent musicianship. More importantly she took practically every song she sung and made it her own. Not many singers can make that claim.

I wish this site was more active. It would be fun talking more here.
