So what is the cure forthis new fear of flying. Keeping Gitmo open? Replacing the Home Security advisor? Boycotting flying?

Totally understand Mandy's sentiments. The world has changed, security at stake. Maybe the total Body Scanner would be in order (even though it is a total invasion of privacy). It may have prevented Underwear Boy from flying.

Thank you for the kind comment regarding the flight attendants and acknowledging the challenges we face. As a Delta flight attendant I feel I must clarify something in your article. It is NOT the airline that conducts the screenings at the security checkpoints in the airports, it is the TSA, the Transportation Safety Administration. Their employees are like employees anywhere, comprised of a variety of personalities including the generous and helpful to the accurately described mean-spirited that you encountered. They have rules to follow and enforce that may seem strict (or even ridiculous) to the average person, and they daily encounter people who challenge these rules and their authority.

And you're right, this isn't the America where you grew up. Thanks to the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01 and the several attempted attacks since, we've had to adapt. Keep in mind that while there ARE more hoops to jump through, at least we still have the freedom of travel.

Not one word in the Record Bee as to the Board of Supervisors meeting today and the MitchellGate saga why? Isn't it important for the citizens to know that the audit has shown approximately $98,000. of flying lessons paid with a DEA Grant monies.
Isn't it important that the people know Mitchell lied to the BOS, Mitchell claimed he didn't known anything about Garzoli flying a helicoper but Garzoli walked around wearing his flight suit within the walls of the Sheriff's office. Blind no. More BS yes.
Record Bee, people expect you to do your job and not close your eyes to it. There's more coming just be there to print it.

It's uncanny how the RB seems to "miss" these important details isn't it. Biz as usual...nothing new.

I was wondering how their new intrepid reporter would cover such a complex issue in a meaningful way - now we know - IGNORE IT.

This is probably the biggest piece of news happening to the folks of Lake County right now! If the feds decide they can't trust us with grant money it will not only impact the SO but everything - including the Middle Creek Wetlands rehabilitation to keep nutrients out of the lake and hopefully improve water quality. Lots of Federal monies for seniors and children, roads, schools etc.

I hope the Board acts in an appropriate direction this afternoon. Don't even think I will attend this round - they know what they need to do - think I'll just set back and see who really serves the people and not just covers their buddy's behind.

I agree. It's like writing a story without asking any questions. Hear that Kathy, news is asking the right questions and the public wants answers not more .....

So Garzoli got fired and is suing the LCSO. Another law suit against the LCSO. How many law suits now?

here's another scary question: why are ALL of the cases that make mitchell look bad being put on the back burner until AFTER the election? It seems the GOB judges are putting their fat thumbs on the scales of justice just like the RB i and "other" news source is just to keep Rod from sinking in the muck he's made for himself.

The local Rivero camp is having a dick-waving contest for their pedophiles. The winner gets a free expungement by morrison and foerster and a free cuban sausage lunch in san francisco.

To bad there is nothing positive you can post about your candidate RforDrugs. The only thing we can positively say about Rodney is he is costing the tax payers far more money than he has ever been worth.

Phil - these kinds of lawsuits take on average 3 years. Vote for Rivero - make Rod pay his own lawyer bills for his bad decisions.

With a personal vendetta and one of the defense conspiracy law enforcement hating shills. She still thinks it was OK for Dinius and Weber to BUI. She is in bed with Rowland and splits the profits instead of the sheets.
