When is the meth-fest going to take place? Or how about the child-porography fest?

San Bernardino County is not San Francisco.

This event should never have been permitted.

Are you kidding me. A pot fest! it's great to know that our County leaders are sitting on the side lines while the medical marijuana hoax clan stream rolls their way ahead.

All these anti drug people such as Lori Green and Paul Chabot are showing their kids to never talk to them about their problems with other peers pressuring them to use drugs or drink because of the way they overreact to simple issues such as the Purple Haze Music Fest. It's best to show your kids what's right and wrong at home and not try to influence the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors because of your own personal bias against medical marijuana.

As one who doesn't use or support the use of any drugs, I'm still realistic enough to realize that the legalization of MJ is coming folks. Even if 90% of all medical marijuana users are just faking illnesses to get their cards... who really cares!? As long as I enjoy coming home every evening and having a couple of glasses of wine, it's really inconsistent for me to pass judgment on someone who likes to get high on a weed that grows from the ground and is actually much less harmful to themselves and the surrounding public than alcohol is. It really is time to give up this illogical, nonsensical fight against an herb people can grow in a closet and that hundreds of thousands, if not millions of good people use secretly every day to unwind. Oh yeah, the 1.5 billion a year in tax revenue wouldn't hurt either!

It is simple..........the voters passed a proposition allowing this activity to go one here in our state, fair enough. However marijuana is a schedule 1 drug on the federal list. Since federal law supersedes state law it is technically a federal offense. BUT.......52% of the nations voters elected a former "self admitted" cocaine addict as president so he has directed his administration to turn a blind eye to federal enforcement of the marijuana laws, in effect allowing states rights to this one issue. He figures that if the majority of the populace is medicated then we will not realize how he is giving it to us int the &$* while we are bending over rolling a fatty. Hence before we know it he will have stolen away our liberty and most people won't even have realized it.

there it is, one great example of democracy in action. and yes it does send mixed signals.... a signal that makes me say, well, if you guys are using it for back and joint pain, why are we throwing people in jail for using it outside of a medical condition? i think we should excercise democracy some more and fix that law too.

News Flash doesn't support legalization or use of drugs, but likes to have 2 glasses of wine per evening. Alcohol is a drug, and so are caffeine, aspirin, acetomenephen, ibuprofen, etc. Even capsaicin in chili peppers is considered a drug for topical use on skin.

Why must people be so judgmental? Marijuana will not go away and causes little to no harm relative to legal tobacco and alcohol.Maybe if SB county wasn't so right wing the place wouldn't be such an economic wasteland.Who cares if there is a festival in honor of a plant. I thought this was a free country.one word:IGNORANCE.Some of you people on this post seem to be living in the 1950's.Get a life!
