I will say a prayer to the family of this great man. I watched him for years on TV. Always a good person. His recent commercials were funny too.
You will be missed ED!!!!!!!!!!

There just aren't any quality entertainers like him anymore.

A Marine Corps pilot and Korean war veteran that entertained generations of US family's with good clean humor after serving his country with honor.

May he rest in Peace.

He was a remarkable man from the great World War Two generation. The majority of Americans who served in WW II were also born around 1923. These are also the last veterans still surviving but they are now rapidly vanishing, each passing day. He will be missed.

When anyone dies, it is always sad. Regardless if you liked them or not. I did like Ed and enjoyed him with Johnny for many years. I think it is in such poor taste to call him a jerk and a drunk. I will repeat what my mother taught me when I was growing up. If you can't say anything nice about a person, keep your mouth shut. Rest in peace, Ed.

Guess what? I don't give a crap what your mother always said, nor do I care what you have to say about what others have to say.

Ed was so good that no other late night host can have a sidekick other than the band leader - it just wouldn't play out as well. Ed was the best straight man in a comedy duo - he made Carson even funnier then he would have been on his own.
