Full story: The Morning Call

Tommy, it is a new play to the area. A lehigh valley premire, if you will. I am sure that is what Myra meant and by your comment, I see you carry quite a grudge for Myra. Perhaps next time you will think before you write or speak.
Congrats to the Playhouse for this selection. It is bold, different and I wish everyone the best during the run. Pennsylvania Playhouse continues to provide the best theater entertainment in the valley. Well done.

Practitioner-
So, you have to interpret a journalist's meaning?
I thought it was a fine show, but I wouldn't say the PPH provides the best theatre entertainment in the valley.
Do you mean something other than what you wrote?

Tommy, there is no way I will get into a p*ssing contest with you over who provides the best live theater in the valley. For me, compared to what I see at Munopco or Civic or even the colleges, I am more consistently entertained by the shows at Pennsylvania Playhouse. That is not to say that Pennsylvania Playhouse never puts up a dud. But that is me. The beauty of live theater is that it is different for everyone. One person's dud is another persons hit.

'The Possibilities' at Muhlenberg,'Metamorphoses' and 'Julius Caesar' at NCC,'Tommy' at Muhlenberg Summer Theatre and 'Death of a Salesman' at DeSales were better than any show I saw at PPH this past year.
Penn. Shakes. is doing an excellent '1776' right now; I would put mediocre work at PSF several levels above the best thing at PPH. Have you seen any of the work down there?
Speaking of mediocre.... Myra's writing is sub-standard; it's disjointed and sometimes inaccurate. She neglects to see some of the local theatre and clearly writes favorable reviews for directors she knows and theatres she doesn't want to offend. I begrudge ANY journalism that lacks integrity, accuracy, and objectivity.
Not a contest - sorry if you took offense; I appreciate your response and am looking for others that appreciate quality theatre.
