Since I posted this incorrectly last time, I thought I would fix it.

As I said before, this is odd and disturbing.

I think it's sad that you christians are outraged by the idea that we should have a "Department of Peace". I guess you're not happy unless you're bombing muslim or jewish children.

WTF is Godtube? What's with Christians always doing cheap knockoffs of popular things to spread their poison?

Anyway, that was nothing more than a commercial to shill some book. I don't see Oprah as being any crazier than any other religious nut. At least she's not bashing people for not believing the same as her.

But of course the crazy Christians love this kind of stuff. It makes them feel all warm and fuzzy because it takes them away from the mundane and makes them feel like they're in some sort of "end times" spiritual battle.

Apparently you didn't watch the video and see the outrage over the idea that we should have a Department of Peace.

The rest of it made me laugh. I can't believe you guys are angry about the stuff she says.

Who said we were angry in the first place? You did, no one else.

See, this is what happens when you troll Christian threads, you look stupid.

The creator of that video is clearly outraged. Pretend otherwise if it makes you feel better.

I don't have a problem with Oprah's theology; everyone is entitled to believe what they want. I do find it a bit "scary", however, that a person with so much power gets involved in religion.

For those who would like to read an interesting article that explores Eckhart Tolle in the light of a more comprehensive spiritual path, this one is viewable on the insight21 website:

The Limits of Mysticism - Eckhart Tolle meets anthroposophy

(Anthroposophy versus mysticism - a comparative exploration of key modern spiritual paths, using the perspectives of Eckhart Tolle, Rudolf Steiner, and Georg Kuhlewind.)

Visit the article through this link:

http://www.insight21.net/insight21_026.htm

Kudos to Eckhart Tolle for many good points of spiritual application, but a responsible seeker also needs to move beyond what he has to offer.

True Christians do not buy into the rhetoric and lies of people like Oprah and Tolle. Maybe false professing Christians. But certainly not those that are truly saved and born again.
