Eartha Kitt, sultry 'Santa Baby' singer, dies

She was 81. Andrew Freedman said Kitt, who was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, died Thursday in Connecticut of colon cancer.

She was Catwoman,in the flesh. No voice overs. We have lost another class act with her passing. A wonderful entertainer. She will be missed.

Actually Eartha Kitt played Cat Woman on the series. There were two Cat Women, Eartha Kitt and a white woman.

There were 2 white actresses who played Catwoman: Julie Newmar (the real tall, big 1 with cat-looking eyes and maybe a harelip) & Lee Meriwether (who used to play on "Barnaby Jones" and "All My Children" as Nurse Ruth Martin and was also a Miss America or something).

Eartha was the 2nd or 3rd Catwoman.

Everyone used their own voices on Batman, I have watched the show since the 1st day that it aired.

That's what I said, I actually thought she was the second Cat Woman. Let's hope that she is remembered for her earlier work and not just Batman and Robin.
