"DEC. 4. Cellist Timothy Eddy and Pianist Gilbert Kalish. Elliott Carter's "Sonata for Cello and Piano" (1948), in honor of the late composer's 100th birthday."
Late? Who's late? Not Mr. Carter. At 99, he is very much alive and still composing. I am looking forward to seeing him at Carnegie Hall on his hundredth birthday. |
