Um, hello? Is this thing on? So, they get somebody who's pretending to be a Cole, when we have Linda Cole, Nat's cousin, and Anthony Cole, Linda's son, who both perform contemporary jazz, blues, and funk, living right here in Central Florida? I applaud the Wells' Built for acknowledging the past, but they have to look at the present and to the future instead of embracing times gone by. When Basie, Ellington, and Charles came through Orlando back in the day, they were the cutting edge, they were the s**t. If Wells' Built wants to acknowledge that, they should do the same, not book cover bands and wanna-be Coles. Get Sam Rivers Trio in there. He's a living jazz legend in our midst and most people have no idea who he is. There are so many good musicians around here, downtown, uptown, everywhere. Book them and you've got something. Wells' Built is a vital connection in Orlando history and needs to be celebrated.
