Interesting enough he's also a big Zappa and Rush fan and to my ears the the first track on 'Death Magnetic' (That Was Just Your Life) sounds like a Metal version of a Rush song with major Zappa influences.

I don't like the new Metallica stuff. Of course, I haven't liked anything since Justice...

But, that's just my opinion... and you know what they say about opinions... ;)

huh?I have been listening to Metallica since I first saw them in 1985.'Death Magnetic"sounds like distorted mess,awful sound quality,I found it hard to listen to.not to mention thae last time I heard a bassline in the mix on a Metallica album was"Master of Puppets" I'm not trying to compair old to new,but come on guys 6 years for this? Wasn't expecting "Master of Puppets" but was hoping for more than "Paster of Muppets"
