Hip Hop is a "negative culture".....period.
Who cares if it's considered music or not. It breeds negativity, hate, disdain, disrespect, racism, sexism, etc......

There really should be no place for it.....but unfortunately parents don't remove this from the ears of their children. It's just plain sad.

Care to explain how and why rap is NOT music, or will you merely continue to make blanket assumptions? And please, don't take the EASY way out, because not all rap songs sample. Enlighten us.
I'll explain in two words. NO ORIGINALITY. Most of the lyrics and music are taken from other songs. Its the music of people too lazy to create for themselves and the criminal who steals from people who do create for themselves.

Rap isn't music. Its garbage that takes absolutely no talent to create.
Rap is not deficient, it's just different. Wright says so.

Music contains notes. Music has a melody. Rap contains angry rants and obscene language. Rap, if anything, is more like poetry to a beat.
In any event, it is not an 'art form' as much as a culture of negativism and violence.
Ever listened to "Mind Playing Tricks on Me", Illmatic, Stillmatic, anything by Outkast, Public Enemy, Nas, Rakim, Whodini, etc. etc. Don't make blanket staements. It further diminishes what little credibility you have. This is sad, stupid, all of the adjectives I can think of, true. It shows how violence and "thuggism" is glorified in the culture. Which is why I don't listen to it anymore. But don't use this as an excuse to justify hate. It makes you look soooooooo small.

I don'
t care what you think it makes me look li9ke. I maintain that rap music is obscene and vulgar and almost criminal. It is THE most negative ingredient in minorities high crime rate, illegitimacy rate, and educational failure rate.

It teaches young black children everyday to resist authority: hate cops: hate whites and women: love money and guns.

You listen to those 'artistes' if you like Tony, I'll stick to Gladys Knight and the Pips.

What I don't understand is how the majority of black people are desperate for black on black crime to end, but yet when it comes to them helping the police catch the criminals involved, they refuse to. If they are not willing to participate in taking back their communities from the thugs, how can anyone else help?
That is because they are too scared, they will get popped if they speak out.

You know, I can't disagree there. I was just trying to show that all artists in that genre are not masogynistic gun-toting thugs, and it is reflected in the music. But I'll take Gladys Knight and the Pips over it as well.

Lovelychild James Manuel. Nice name for a rap oriented thug. Ship it over the border to Mexico. At least he killed something else that listens to that garbage.

Hip Hop is not ALL bad. I myself am a hip hop artist. I only rap about possitive and influentioal things. i rap about anti violence, anti drugs, i do gigs in my home town that supports no proffit organizations that try to keep kids of the streets. my music is not garbage. my lyrics are a bit intellectual and require great thought. i will use one of my versus for example:(this song is about me dedicating my talent to GOD) it goes a little like this - To the one who can stop the "Hostility" among "Humanity" he Pays me with love and i'm his "Mercenary" His word I'm Trying to get out to the "Minority" to the elders and the ones with "Authority" and to the ones who keep him shrouded in "mystery" Thats why i rap with my hand around my "Rosary" Crying the name out of the "ALL-Mighty" Lord help us "please"

Why do so many rap artists keep touching their genitals while performing. Isn't this kind of like masturbation?
Who will buy the book? That depends on how many pictures are in it.

Something similar happened at a Barbara Walters book signing last week. An Edith Cooper accidently rode over someone's foot with her wheelchair and that person pulled out knitting needles and stabbed Ms. Cooper.
Police are looking for a blue haired lady about 4 foot 9 inches tall last seen wearing a green polyester pants suit.
