Well, I have to half agree with Mark in the sense that rap music of today is a lot of how Heavy Metal was in the 80s.. I am personally not a huge fan of rap music, but I do respect Dr. Dre's, Eminem's and Snoop Dogg's music because it is unique in its own way..

I love the soulful music of the 60s and 70s and I kind of wish that music's pendulum would swing the other way back to the days of classic rock era music

I WAS A BIG FAN OF SOME OF THE FEW HARD CORE ANTI GOVENRMETN SONGS, BUT THERE'S MALES IN THIS WORLD THAN FEMALES AND WHEN SOME PUNK IS WALKING OVER PUTTING THE WORNG BUYS TO STEAL MORE WOMEN ADN YOUNG GIRLS AND FIGHTING THE WORNG PEOPLE, INSTEAD OF BEIGN NEGATIVELY FOCUSED AT THE MAIN PROBLEMS, SUCH AS HUGH HEFNER, DRE HAD/HAS A FLAW ADN ACTING THAT WAY IS NOT TOLERABLE. WHAT HIS SON'S ANCESTRAL GHOST(S) WERE DOING AND WHO THEY WERE TRYING TO KILL WAS THE WRONG PEOPLE, EVEN THOUGH DRE HAD SOME GOOD SONGS ABOUT ELIMINATING PROBLEMS IN THE OLD GOVERNMENT AND THE SEXUALLY IMMORAL.

I'm the one who has to constantly change channels on my television in order to avoid the annoying noise that dimwits call "rap music".
It's everywhere in our culture and it is constantly being pushed on our gullible public by guilty white liberals in order to give
black's some self esteem by convincing them that they actually contribute something positive to society - hence "rap artists" are now mainstreamed and something for our dumbed down youth to look up to.

rap used to be about powerty and hard life. afro americans who didnt have money for real full studio
but had something to say started rapping with simple drum beats and it came from the heart. rap and hip hop today is all about money.... that aint rap anymore. even the beats today with all this so called improved sound sounds primitively shitty. public enemy did it better, snoop doggs doggy style is wort talkin about and so on anyway.. i used to be big fan of rap but today hmph....

I have to admit that some rap music is bad. Maybe some Rappers should be called Poets. It would be more befitting.

However, all music genres have their top ten songs, albums and artist. There's a lot of bad Country and Rock too. So to say that "some" Rap is bad is understandable.

I love Heavy Metal and wish we could get back to some "old school" ROCK!
