Porter Waggoner show...

I was actually on the Cas Walker Show when I was a tiny thing...(I was part of Bonny Zanova's School of Dance, so I was all of nine I think...) ;-)

God, what a memory...

Actually, I am a big Dolly fan. Her Imagination Library program has been a boon to literacy.

I love Dolly. I talked to a rural mail carrier, and she said that the kids are SO excited when they get their books in the mail. Dolly is just precious.

I've loved Dolly Parton from the first time that I heard her magical voice, and so I enjoyed this story very much. Of course, there's a lot more to any artist than their art, but I've always felt that everything I really need to know about my favorite musicians, I get from their performances. Dolly's are simply superb.

Dolly has come a very long way with so much talent--she sings and writes music from the heart-- and she has helped so many children. I am so very proud because I live near where she grew up and then she launched into a special place in Tennessee and (from all of her awards and recognition) National appreciation. You go Dolly!!! She has a God given gift and has used it for her happiness but also for so many others. You can just tell by the way she writes and sings those great songs.

I know he had an aunt who was an OB nurse at Ft. Sanders Hospital back in the mid 1970's when Jimmy was just a wee lad. I have no idea what ever happened to either of them.

I think Dolly is a really excellent & beautiful singer & no matter what she looked like or sang back in her younger days, she has not changed all that much, only that she has a few more different but wonderful looks & her songs are getting better & better every time.Dolly is a miracle country music singer & always will be.

I agree with you.I have the DVD of Dolly's called Chasing Rainbows & when I first watched it,I was so amazed on how much she helps the young one's out.It is so admiring just to know that someone will do the many things that Dolly does, not just for her own country, but for many others around the world.
