NYC Street Corner To Honor Run-DMC

Jul 1, 2009 12:07 pm US/Eastern Corner Of 205th Street And Hollis Avenue To Be Named 'Run-DMC JMJ Way' A New York City street corner will be renamed for the late Jam Master Jay and Run-DMC . The New York City Council has approved the new name "Run-DMC JMJ Way" for the corner of 205th Street and Hollis Avenue.

Run-DMC sounded good in the 80s. Going into the 90s we realized how overrated they really were(VERY)

Nice!...Alright!...But why only a street name on a street that I don't visit. Why not rename the 'George Washington Bridge' or the 'JFK Airport' or the 'RfK' or whatever... y'know, the former Jackie Robinson. Why was THAT renamed again?

We know the HISTORY but are still taught HIS STORY...What have they done so beneficial to deserve bridges and highways.
