Hip Hop seems to be closely associated with criminals and, as such, should not be recognized as having any redeeming social value.

You know nothing of music theory or the history of music. All music is influenced by one form or genre of another form of music. Hip Hop music is the combination of many musical forms from rock and roll to jazz. For the record, Hip Hop has been around for 30+ years.

Yeah, the Opry is an eyesore along Briley Parkway in Nashville... tear it down. Then, tear down that apt building for hip hop... it's an eyesore as well.

but, if he was playing already recorded music at that oh so honored birthplace then doesn't that mean that the music was actually born somewhere else? as far as censoring music; can't wrap my head around that one. i love music across the board; yup, some hip/hop, some rap, a little country, rock n roll, jazz, alternative... all of it. if ya don't like a certain genre, don't listen to it but don't condemn it for all.
