That's the music industry in New York, L.A., and Germany too.

It's an old record label trick, and the people who negotiated Tim's contract should have known better and included this in their negotiations.

The music business is a business, and too many people get into it without their eyes wide open.

I'd expect someone with Tim's position in the industry to be savvy enough to have good people looking out for his interests.
