Tony Dow recently complained about being Wally on Leave it to Beaver; there's alot of actors working as waiters that would have killed for half the opportunity.

"Is there a chance that Aladdin will belt out Last Train to Clarksville?"

Mickey sang Last Train, not Davy. Just sayin'...

gee, I will take all your fame and un grateful glory. I used to respect this man, and actually LIKED his singing. He should be grateful. Mike Nesmith, one of his former band mates manages to be a HUGELY respected musician. I really dont see what he is complaining about. Oh,and by the way Davey, could you do a few bars of "Daydream Believer?" Face it, your songwriters Boyce and Hart were your talent. Now that they are gone your a talentless has-been.

I met Davy today. He was very cordial to his fans , signing autographs and having pictures taken. He even broke out into a song as several fans sang along with him. He owes nothing to the Monkees as he was a child actor on stage in England before then. Yes, the Monkees made him popular but I am sure that had he not done that show he would have had a sucessful acting career any way. He is still very handsome and I know I will be a fan forever.

Let's not forget this fact that is pre Monkees:

Jones was the toast of Broadway, with a Tony nomination for creating the role of the Artful Dodger in the musical Oliver!.

Keep up the good work Davy. I still love you.

I went to this production at the Broward Center of the preforming arts and left half way through the show. The jokes, background sets, and music were horrible. I cant recall one moment in which I was impressed with anything.

to comment about what the joker said. I heard Tony Dow interviewed on Mark Simone's radio show [6:00 p.m.-10:00p.m. every Sat. on WABC770 NYC] No way did Tony complain get the rocks out of your ears. In fact he couldn't be more gracious

Don't tell me only Monkees fans understood what Davy was trying to say in this article.

Give the guy a break; he is grateful for the Monkees; however, it is time we don't take every word literally. How would you all feel if your first job or so you were branded for life? You'd take it in stride and Davy does just that. Davy is the sweetest and this old article he seemed to not have had enough java when interviewed or to put up with the journalist! At least that's what I thought when I first read it when released. Davy has a great sense of humor and is the most down-to-earth ex-Monkee/performer I've met. If he offended any one; tough, they'll get over it! Keep singing more of your own songs Davy! And I still love your version of "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby" I heard in San Diego in August.
