I just don't understand why they cast Amanda Peet. She has the acting skill of a housefly. Still looking forward to seeing the movie though. So miss the X-files.

I really liked this movie. It reminded me of the good old days of the X-Files. The dark, creepy nature of the film and the further development of the main characters is going to be very satisfying for most true xphiles and newbies, alike.

Brilliant film. I love how this movie keeps unfolding for you even after you have left the theater. The meshing of A and B plot, the struggle, the questioning-- all of it was just filmmaking at its finest. Without giving too much away, can you imagine the conflict Scully must feel when she sees the parallels between what she is doing and what has been done in the main plot? And can we talk a moment about the chemistry between Mulder and Scully? Wow.

I think I need to see this movie again.

I've missed these characters so much and it was great to finally be reunited with them again. To me, the X-Files was never about Aliens and conspiracies.. I was never a big fan of the MythArc because it dealt with bigger things that I could never follow. I was drawn in by the strange, scary intricate storytelling and the wonderful acting by the storytellers, the actors. I've always loved Mulder's dry wit, Scully's intensity & and I am still intrigued by Mulder's eternal search for salvation to be forgiven for losing his sister.

I loved visiting my favorite characters and finding out how they've progressed. Much was said about Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny's difficulty in finding the rhythm on their first scenes but if there were any problems, it did not translate onscreen. Every scene they had was electric. If somebody could bottle it up, they'd make a lot of money.
(To Chris Carter. Thank you for that scene after the credits)

Gillian Anderson is in fine form as always and David is still his subtle best.

The science, ah the science. Sometimes too farfetched but that was what the series was about. A 2-headed dog? But then did a Flukeman really ever existed?

I think Iíll go watch it again.

i've already seen it twice. even better the second time. It's really a love story and the "crime" is secondary. The "x file" is just a device to move along mulder and scully's story. Gillian Anderson is absolutely luminous and it's so good to see her and DD together again.

and stay through the credits. if it's the last time we see mulder and scully the ending shot is really beautiful and makes me happy.

Saw the film last night and was blown away. After some negative reviews I was a little unsure but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The movie was gritty and close and not gory - which for me was a huge bonus since the gore factor in recent cinema is turning me off of movies.

Seeing Mulder and Scully again was great and the performances by both Duchovny and Anderson were amazing. The guy playing the priest was fantastic.

Overall it was a great time and seemed llike everyone in the sold out theatre had fun.

I have to just review this and get rid of some of the strangling negativity that is being posted about this film. I have been a fan of the series since I started watching the sixth season and missed the experience of seeing the first film. So for me, being able to actually go to an X-files movie and watch it now was a huge thing.

To get to the review, I will just say this: I LOVED IT. True enough, there are some minor flaws with the film. Overall however, the movie portrays the Mulder and Scully dynamic beautifully.

The case itself does not pack the scare factor, instead depicting a sometimes stomach churning account of medical experiments. The landscapes are breathtaking, the music is beautiful yet suspenseful, and Gillian Anderson delivers a riveting performance.

If you want to see a movie with explosions and comic book action, there are other movies out there. If you want to see a good film with a lot of heart, buy the ticket for The X-files: I Want to Believe.

Holy freaking cow!!! The Mulder and Scully chemistry in this movie is strong enough to inflict spontaneous human combustion. They just sizzle together. We see a more vulnerable Scully, a woman who has finally let Mulder in and who is not afraid to admit her love for him.

Mulder is more mature, but still gets his ass kicked and is saved by his soulmate whom he obviously adores.

Go see this movie. Very well written and directed.

Saw it yesterday. I loved it. Mulder and Scully are back and although older and more mature, the magic was still there. There is extra footage after the credits.

I have been a huge X-Files fan since the start, but I was nervous about how good this movie was going to be after reading the reviews. I had nothing to worry about. This movie was excellent.

This movie exceeded all my expectations and then some! Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz provided a thrilling story and kept the movie true to the series. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were amazing and their chemistry is off the charts! I can't wait to see the movie again!

I'm a phile and LOVED the movie. I think there are a lot of layers to it that I think people need to look for to make it even more enjoyable. The movie is about faith and hope- wanting to believe, even without seeing. It's a feel good flick in this sense. And David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as Mulder and Scully. They still have that electrifying chemistry-the wondeful banter and the little looks they give one another. It's the best chemistry the small screen or the big screen has produced since Hepburn and Tracy. They really are magic together. If you want to see something that makes you think and feel good at the end, skip Stepbrothers and see The X-Files: I Want to Believe.

Just go and see it!!! The mood of the movie is characteristically XF, very dark, odd in its own way, very worthy to see it! Do not believe the not so good reviews!

I am a newer X-files fan...only started watching this spring and watched every episode...just watched the very last one this past week. I watched IWTB last night and was really pleased with it. I seriously believe that most reviewers decided they weren't going to like it before they even walked into the theater. I think David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have amazing chemistry and it showed in this film. I hope this film does well enough that an XF3 film becomes a reality.

Loved it even more the second time around! The relationship between these two characters is just astounding. I think it's fairly impressive to have that kind of romance in this day and age of graphic sex and throwaway relationships. It's impossible to take your eyes off of the two of them.

I just went and saw it and after the negative reviews I was worried going in. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The movie was simple, brilliant and thought provoking. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny gave stellar performances as did Billy Connelly. This was a welcome break from the hype surrounding Batman. A small, well thought out film. I'll definitely be seeing it again. Go see it. And bring a friend or two.

I liked the movie. I plan on going to see it quite a few more times. It is a movie for people who want to think, not have everything either spoon fed to them or just a pyrotechnic, cursing, slam-bang fluff. Look deeper, you'll love it.
