What an unclassy person and terrible way to encourage people to see his movie. Bashing the current President, no matter what your politics are is a poor way to do it. What a joke DeVito is. I am sure his production company is just thrilled with his performance.

i agree with the most of you that he was pathetic, classless, showing his ignorance in regards to the president. but much like the oval office defilemant by the last president i now will always have to connect that sleezy little scum bag and his wife to the lincoln bedroom. i would be so humbled by the experence of sleeping in that room (or the white house for that matter) i would respect my fellow country men by not belittling it with leaving a thought of me doing any thing other then respect..... just another lib who thinks like a low life piece of .... danny you can take your movie and do what you know im thinking with it.

This behavior is so inappropriate it's hard to imagine that even he would believe it's good PR for his "Christmas" movie.
However, I'm actually glad he and his supporters (like the audience at The View) are showing America how crude, mean-spirited, and vulgar they really are. I hope viewers are paying attention.

Another classless appearance by another left wing liberal hollywood type. I must say that I continue to be amazed by the way hollywood loves to show America how rude, classless and vulgar they are. They are ill-informed and live in their fairytale world. I hope viewers across America let the View know that this is unacceptable behavior. You don't have to agree with our Presidents policies but he is our President and deserves to be treated with respect as does our Military and our white house. Danny you have lost another fan and I won't be going to see your movie.

Danny your behavior was completely inappropriate. You are a tacky, classless, pitiful little man.
Hopefully America will see what a left wing liberal show the view is and send a direct message that Americans don't appreciate this type of humor directed at our current President, our White House and the men and women who defend Dannny's right to make a fool of himself. Before this appearance I didn't really have an opinion of danny one way or the other but now I will not see any more of his movies and hey Danny you've only got yourselft and The View to thank for that! Can't blame my President for that!

To WAC: Are you serious? If so, just try comparing the two administrations in the simplest way - the economy. I think you'll find that in we're in much better economic shape now than during the Clinton years - the stock market is up, unemployment is down - these are signs of a stronger economy than what we had under Clinton. You may not be seeing that, WAC, because Michigan is still suffering under the liberal policies of Jennifer Granholm.

In terms of character, let me just point out some of the "highlights" of Clinton's administration:

1) Vince Foster's unexplained death and the evidence tampering that covered up the truth
2) "Travel Gate" in which long-time bipartisan employees were fired in favor of Hillary's friends
3) White Water and the disappearing folder containing, again, evidence
4) Bad behavior in the Oval Office
5) Many, many temper tantrums by both Bill and Hillary

Come on, WAC, these are not nice people. Or, let me just say that the Clintons brought neither ethics nor honor to the White House. The Lincoln bedroom situation is just one more indicator of their character. And Danny Devito has stepped up to remind us of what it was like to have a president with no respect for his office.

One more thing - Remember that Clinton "loathed the military" - Support for the troops under his administration? I don't think so.

As for freedom of speech - Remember, we can't yell FIRE in a crowded theater. In other words, we do have a responsiblity to act like adults.

How sad I am today, I really enjoyed "loved" Danny Devito... I watched him back in Taxi days but I am so disappointed in him after the view with the wacko hosts - He showed himself to be the crazy wacko liberal that lives with the rest of the crazy wacko's in California. Sham on you Danny, you lack much more than class - I will never go to another show of his......

DeVito has a unique way of remaining charming even when hes sauced. The audience ate it all up.- from

Think he'll be invited to any other shows any time soon? Even if he's "charming," I think it was still disrespectful.

To elayne, My husband and I are self employed. We have had our businesses for 10 years so we can see the spending habits and trends of the general population. You have NO clue on the how the economy is doing except what you hear and read in the news. They are liars and report only what they are told by our government and it is nothing as they describe. We have watched this country is go down every year. I am by no means a Clinton fan and I do not think he was a good president but Bush is moron and he does not care about the general population. DeVito has the right to speak his mind whether he was intoxicated or not. I tend to agree with his views. This country needs a Commander in Chief that cares about us not about his oil buddies getting rich off of our sweat. It is sad when the US Government allows us to struggle to pay our taxes and feed our family when the CEO's of major companies as well as our legislatures give themselves pay raises and receive the highest profits on record. Danny only said what many of us would like to and be heard nationally.
