<<He said the autonomy being sought was for the areas inhabited by six million Tibetan population.“The Chinese Government is now using the expression ‘Greater Tibet' but on our part we never used it,” he said. There are two million Tibetans in the autonomous area and there are four million others in the four provinces, he noted.

“The Chinese Constitution recognises them as Tibetan area,” he pointed out. If only the present autonomous Tibetan area is recognised as Tibet even the place he hails from would not be included, he pointed out.“Going by their viewpoint even I am not a Tibetan. This is a political use of an expression. We have never used it ourselves,” the Dalai Lama said referring to the talk about “Greater Tibet”.>>

Same logic as that of Nazi, anywhere there are Germans, it must be part of Germany.

Red fascist CCP cowards like you "zsari" know all about that.

Why don't you comment on the CCP diplomats' ADMITTING that ONLY the Dalai Lama has any influence in Tibet, and the CCP are despised occupiers there?

That the CCP regime must occupy Tibetan areas by force, and created the patchwork of bogus provinces to divide the Tibetans they are enslaving?

It seems your CCP masters speak facts in secret and lie like dogs and seek to demonize their betters in public.

You as well?

Or just the "lies detail" for a scummy weak-minded coward like you?

CCP are such RIDICULOUS CLOWNS!

"Tibetans not seeking separation: Dalai Lama"

This statement is largely true.

But one has to figure out who are the "Tibetans".

90% or more of the population of old Tibet were very poor people (slaves and serfs). They gained a lot of benefits from emancipation in 1959. They were much better off after being freed in 1959. They got their loan and indenture contracts cancelled. In addition, they took over the mansions and land of their former overlords and each family share the farm land. They became free peasants owning small plots of land by this time and they were penniless and landless before the abolition of the old system.

Would Tibetans in this category (freed serfs and slaves) going against the central government and trying to break away? Would they want their former landlords back? Would they want to give up their own small plots of land and freedom to restore their former masters' priveleges?

The second category of Tibetans are those belonging to the artistocracy of old Tibet who have lost everything if not their lives. They (~80,000 people out of total population of 1 million in 1959) rebelled to fight against emancipation but failed. They escaped to India and establish the so-called "gov't in exile" and the Free Tibet Movemement to continue their fight for independence while in exile.

??????????

Mirolyuba, it shows you don't understand the long history of China and its provinces and demograhics.

Much of what we hear outside China from western media isn't factual compared to reality, and it is contradictory to what was recorded in documents and books of the former dynasties, nationalist Republic of China and the PRC.

There are 2 separate streams of information about Tibet, slavery, and its history floating around in the last 50 years.

- Free Tibet Movement, anti-China media of the west, and pro-Taiwan independence media represent one stream. The information produced by these people is very different and there isn't much market among those living within Tibet and other part of PRC. It does not even have the support of those who understand the long history of China and Tibet in the overseas Chinese communities, pro-nationalist KMT people in Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

- The second (traditional/normal) stream represent the reports, eye-witnessed accounts, and history recorded over the centuries by the the normal joes, the majority of freed serfs and slaves, the officials of the current communist regime, the nationalist officials of ROC, and the majority of the overseas communities.

The Free Tibet stream of information began to surface after Dalai Lama 14th and his aristocracy failed in the 1959 rebellion and escaped overseas. There is a huge gap between the normal traditional stream, and the Free Tibet version of stories. Therefore there is no intersection between the Free Tibet version and the normal stream. The Free Tibet version of history/stories deviates so much from the well documented facts accumulated in the last thousand years. But the west loves this Free Tibet version better because most non-Chinese people have no understanding of the history and facts at all.

So the Free Tibet Movement and anti-China media of the west repeat their version all the time outside China and overseas Chinese communities, while the later live their own life and try to keep the time-honoured history intact from the contamination of recently fabricated and distorted stories of the disinformation campaign of the west. The majority of the Chinese newspapers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia and other parts of the world DO NOT accept the Free Tibet (and Fa Long Gong) version at all. That is a fact that westerners DO NOT see. They talk their own western version, and we living overseas and also our relatives in Taiwan and the Chinese mainland talk our own version. Very funny phenomenon!!!

If the Tibetans are not seeking separation as promised by the Dalai Lama why was there the Free Tibet movement act which led to the untimely and tragic death of his nephew. This is surely a contradiction in terms or a lack of communication or control of the Tibetans which you claim to represent. furthermore the militant stance of the monks who are living in Kirti are militant despite the kindness of the Chinese governtment who have housed and fed them and they are now a threat to the public. Please dont repeat the 5 deaths of innocent girls in Lhasa by any further incitation as the source is a Kirti monk of dubious origin.

Evil western nations (UK, USA) had try to split Tibet from China since last years of Qing dynasty (from around 1890).
UK had tried from Indian side during British India era.
