This is terrible, but unfortunately it won't be the last time we see something like this; PEOPLE NEED TO SLOW DOWN!

Sorry, just another statistic, drivers between the ages of 17 and 21 are most likely to die in a vehicle accident. I hope the family understands this grim fact.

teenager driving is dangerous given their lack of experience. Though they might have fast reflex. Now I am older, I can truly see that speed kills. Even when you are driving safely you need to watch how other drive because they can cut in front of you. Or on the busy freeway during rush hours, you can be driving 60mph and suddenly you are 0 mph. So you need to account for sudden changes in split seconds.
One gripe I had when I was young was older people drive too slow.
Now my gripe is the young people drive too fast.

I knew Chanel Lee very well, we were cool friends, and I went to school with her. Every time I saw her we would talk, and i would make sure everything was alright with her. She had a cool personality, and was nice to be around. She always made you smile, she was just that type of person. I know she lived a short life but i can honestly say she lived it to the fullest. I cant believe she is gone, but i know her memory will live on and she will NEVER be forgotten. My prayers go out to her family and the rest of her friends, and everyone that knew her. RIP CHANEL! for the ignorant people posting comments about teenage driving facts, and the time she was out, you should be ashamed that dosnt erase the fact that a young girl lost her life. Be more considerate!

ripchanel...you are right, the comments do not erase the fact that a young girl lost her life however, it needs to be known that teenagers are known to drive too fast and wreckless. I have 3 biological children 19-24 and 4 step children within the same age range and I can tell you I just pray each and every time they leave whether they are driving or a friend is driving. May Chanel's family find peace as they remember and celebrate the short life she did live and may other teens learn from this sad and tragic event. No shame here in my posting.

Theres every reason AND GOOD REASON to believe that had she complied with the law, she probably would still be alive. Ignorance? Its YOU that is displaying the ingnorance. There is a reason why Juvenile driving restrictions exist, but YOU want to ignore that fact. Also, if she resided in Chino Hills, then why was she headed northbound on the 71 freeway, from the westbound 60 freeway, when Chino Hills is south of that location? Her parents should answer for that.

Know your facts before you judge people. Accidents happen, even to the most careful of us. And there are specifics regarding this case you might not be aware of. So Before you make judgement, know your facts.

Quit attacking her parents!!! The fact is that a child lost her life on Wedensday!! What if that was your child who died would you want everyone to attack you in your time of grief. Chanel I miss you so much!! You were so young and full of life. I hope your family or sibligns is not reading all of the mean malacious things people are saying. You can't just say that her death could have been prevented if she would have followed the rules. what do you know?! Her mother can't sleep in her room with her...there is a such thing as sneaking out and even then people make mistakes. Chanel wasn't going out to have fun with her friends knowing that she was going to die in the process. Don't judge how her mother was raising her. Stop saying what she should have done because that's not what happened. It wasn't her fault that she died, she probably should have been out that late but that doesn't matter she was a great person and now she's gone.

Chanel Brittney Lee, a great person, daughter, friend, sister, niece, athlete, she had it all. Everyone in her life misses her and here you are saying what she should have done. Stop criticizing what she did and extend your arms and prayers out to her family and friends that have lost someone near and dear to their hearts. Stop being so narrow minded and think about the other sides of the story. Chanel was my friend and she will never be forgotten.
