Tavis Smiley, who has national talk shows on PBS and NPR, and Dr. Cornel West, a frequent guest on Smiley's shows and other national commentary shows stopped in Birmingham, Al., August 11, 2011 to talk with people from the Dannon project, a program that helps reintegrate people from prison back into society.

I have someone very special in my life that was a participant in the program and it changed his life tremendously. He still dedicates his time in assisting the program as he is now a mentor.
