Israel must indeed be made to cease from its current campaign which has exceeded the bounds of retribution. It should have, from the very beginning, gone to the United Nations for a peaceful return of the two soldiers who had been kidnapped. No nation should be allowed to take the law into its own hands where cross-border disputes are concerned. All nations should seek peaceful resolution to their differences through the auspices of the United Nations. The United States should set an example by dropping its notion of pre-emptive strikes.
